A6M: The Joke of Gaijin's balancing

As most competent players know, Zeros tend not to pose a large threat if you can stay faster than them (which, MANY planes can.).

However, Gaijin seems keen on moving them up as much as possible.

For example, as of the last patch, the A6M5 Ko (which was a bit overtiered at 5.3) got moved up AGAIN and is currently sitting at 5.7.

How is the A6M5 Ko even POSSIBLY similar to something like the Spitfire LF Mk IX or Bf-109 K4 in terms of performance ASIDE from Turn Performance ? It isn’t.

Not to mention, now it can face a full team of P-51H’s, and has the possibility to go up again Spitfire Mk 24s.

The BRs of the Zeros are a joke, and Gaijin has repeated it past the point of staleness.

I think Gaijin fully intends to continue up tiering the Zeros until USA planes can compete with them in low speed turn fights, which will never happen, but maybe once they are seeing supersonic jets Gaijin will wake up to the stupidity of balancing based on player IQ.

Dying to a Zero is literally an IQ check.

→ are you in a Zero?

→ if yes, you can turn fight
→ if no, don’t turn fight.

Unfortunately the small number of players that get the “don’t turn fight” part interpret that as “engage head on and ram the corps to make sure”

I am bad at props (I don’t like playing props and usually don’t play them) and even I know how to deal with
zeros, Gaijin really should have not moved them up IMO. Player turn fight with them which results to better stats for zeros and hence they get moved up. Lol

I killed one of those in the A6M5 Otsu (also 5.7) yesterday!

I fully expect these two to move to 6.0 in the near future. People have NOT learned how to counter them at all, they will gladly engage in maneuvering fights at low speeds with you.

the RE2005s where already fine at there BR too but because everyone turn fights it its going up in br they the LFMK9 was equal to if not better at 5.7 and the yak 3U both are lower yet better planes

its so easy to energy trap them theres a reason the corsair beat them so bad in the pacfic

Since 6.0 has a huge turnfighter hole with the Re 2005s leaving to 6.3, we must put the A6Ms at 6.0. It’ll be the funniest thing ever.

tbh the only time a a6m ever killed me was when it was like 1 Br above me and it was in a 2 v 1
its a joke for them to be where they are rn
even tho id like to see them compress more

At this point the best Zero is probably the 3.7 ones. :p

A6M3 Model 32 is IMO the best one out of all of them. You get the better engine, 100rpg on the cannons, much better roll rate. All at 4.0.

I haven’t tried that one, I’ve mostly played the A6M5 Ko and the A6M2…

I’ll try that tho.

wonder why only the zero´s are getting moved up since its also the yak´s and spitfires who win those turnfights against the german/ us planes…

They press s, too op gaijin pls nerf he

Turning is the only thing they have going for them. Climbing (bad, except 1 premium) speed (mid)
I already stopped using them after the last group of nerfs, now there’s just no reason to play them at all.
The Japanese BR toll at work once more. Happened with the type 90s, R2Y2s, think there’s more I can’t recall right now.
