A-5C might having hard time nowadays but it isn’t only A-5C’s problem.
Every strike jets in 10.7BR shares the same f-ing problem thanks to compression and MiG-23ML.
Frankly, A-5C is the one who has a better position than others like Bucc, Jags, Harriers and corsair2s

as I said, just because there are other planes overtiered doesnt mean A5C isnt.
I think A5C should go down to atleast 10.3 in ARB and 9.7 in GRB because Q5L has no AAMs but has GBUs where A5C is reverse

It does, it happens all the time to me with Russian planes that use the R-60, doesn’t matter if the launch was supersonic or barely airspeed worthy, it bleed off as soon as it’s motor dies.
Think about the AIM-120, its big, heavy, and fast, so it carries its speed over a long distance.
You realize the Matra is indeed the best line of IR missiles in the game, anyone will tell you that, and indeed the A5C isn’t caught by a lot of planes in the BR range it fights, only excluding uptiers.
But that’s the issue, the will almost never have the speed when they turn to chase, and even if they do have the acceleration and do catch up, unless you are the last person on the team, they will likely leave you alone or go fight someone with a higher priority.
Worst of them on the list is easily the mirage’s delta design, it will turn fast, but you lose all your speed.
I mean, all you have to do is not turn as fast as you can, if you have some alt you can always be at mach, and except the F-5s, every plane is capable of Mach 2 on that list, so its not really a good point
It also one of the most under-BR’d planes in the game, collectively decided by the community.
Back in the day when it was released, yes, 100%, rn its facing planes that go way faster, has x2 or x4 the amount of missiles just 0.3 above, imo it should be 10.3, its a plane that can go fast but turns worse than the Yak-38, missiles are good, but can be easily flared
Note: I want everything to go up to at least 15.0 if not more to decompress everything
I came from no-flare land of Sweden, so, that’s probably a part of my fueled hatred for the F-5’s

its a flying brick, you can just avoid it and it wont be able to fire that rear aspect missile at you
besides in a full downtier there can be only what, 3/5 planes from full uptier?

It is flareless and has AIM-9E, which can be evaded with the slightest manoeuvre.
A-5C when it was 10.0, two magic 1 always were fired by ‘push to free kill button’ as long as Magic 1 is unavoidable by manoeuvre.
If A-5C were armed with R-3S equivalent, I won’t bother to see it back in 10.0
just put it at 10.3, its not free kills even against 9.3 because its literally a brick and anyone with 2 braincells can just avoid getting locked
jak38 has r60s at 9.3 which are also unavoidable by manoeuvre so what?
Bruh, the R-60 is one of the worst missiles in the game. It can pull off the rail quickly, but it can’t even reach 2 km
Strange, I had no problem to take my lock with my AIM-9G when I flew with Harriers.
Or lock R.550 with Mirage 5F stock against the enemy.

Blaming the enemy’s skill for defending your missile and plane is a diabolical take.
Just climb up and dive. You almost always can grab at least one free kill.

how is 8.3 fighting against a brick with r60 fair but 9.3 against a brick with matra completely unacceptable?
