I’d like to propose getting rid of CAS in ground AB, or at least make it optional. Just let us play tanks like we want to and leave us alone.
Can you imagine if mostly ground players were allowed to spawn top tier anti air in an air battle and start shooting down all their precious jets ? Air players would have a fit !
Well that’s how I feel in ground ab. Let us fight with tanks and stop having air turn battles turn games.
Air players only need to deal with ground bots. Why do we need to deal with air players ? Ok. I do know the answer I’m not naive.
But if jets let top fair player based anti air into air games for a couple weeks, air players would be lobbying to have it removed immediately and maybe we could get CAs removed from ground ab in return. I know this will probably never happen but I’m frustrated.
Sucks that no one is hearing you out, I agree with you though, but I wouldn’t completely remove it, just make a tab to select “clear skies” and everyone would be happy.
I don’t know about top tier Air AB maps, but in another topic I did the math for Air RB with the conclusion that even a Pantsir S-1, the SPAA with the greatest range can only cover 3-5% (depending on the map) of the available airspace.
So nobody would have a fit and the only reason to lobby to have it removed again is the waste of team slots.
I’m not sure why its controversial to not include spacebar mini-games in a tactical game. Maybe if it took an actual acomplishment to get said 1-3 free kills, but at the moment you can die with no kill, cap, or assist and somehow get enough spawn points for a plane.
That Makes sense too, but that’s also my point, just make a mini selection like how you can pick night battles that lets you only play tank on tank matches, and the people complaining about it will have a chance to have their own fun too.
Whilst people do complain a lot about CAS getting them, more than the fact of them being taken out by planes, it’s just because they’re that wound up about dying, in a video game, to have issue with it…
But it’s all a part of the game, and thus they are mad at the wrong thing.
Which then leads to the abuse and ‘hate’ on those who actually get them.
Before they added the Fox 3 and changed the BR of the planes, I used to die all the time to a Su-25M3 while playing as a Swede in top tier. Now, since the update was released, I haven’t died to CAS even once. When I fly the Gripen, I can clear the skies against other aircraft, but it’s very difficult to do CAS. Besides having to watch out for the damned Pantsir, you have to keep an eye on the Fox 3s, making it almost impossible to do CAS.
