not really,… what you’re asking for are FA-18 C/D aircrafts, which are the only ones Switzerland ever got.
Those are as effectives as German EF-2000 Trench 1 and Rafale M F.1
EFs aren’t coming soon, the F-18s are and they will be here by the end of the here.
I personally think Germany should have gotten the Dutch as a subtree because it would make more sense but it went to France so that’s kaput.
But hey, F-18s will be nice.
I never said that they didn’t need anything, but giving them the F18 exclusively is dumb. Additionally the reason they got the F16 was to have something to fill a much larger gap. Iirc .7 yes Germany should get something, but getting it exclusively is not a good way to handle it.

You forgot the Gripen (never stated the model but most likely the B/C) was also at the Halli air trials for Finland. Regardless if gaijin really looked at aweden air the way people seem to think we would’ve seen literally any if the Halli air trial aircraft come in to fill the lack of a 4th gen for literally a year. That didn’t happen so why people think the swiss would get the Japan treatment doesn’t make sense to me as the gap for Japan was bigger.
I never said that Germany should be the only one to get the F-18, just that it’s the only thing coming and you can’t give it to Germany unless the US gets it first.
But since the US is currently jam packed with jets they are holding off on adding the F-18.
And yeah, Japan needed something to fill the gap. Germany does as well, so giving them a trialed Swiss vehicle to hold them over wouldn’t really be the end of the world.
To hold them over? Again unless its somehow longer than a year i dont agree with them getting special treatment. If they do that then every nation needs to be given trial vehicles to fill gaps. Letting germany get a trial gripen would be cool but its gonna cause way more problems within the community. Additionally again, if gaijin adds the F18 like i expect them. The A will be a glorified C model and thus we lose out on a pretty unique fighter for a BR.
Japan and the F16AJ is still a very heavily argued topic.

What jet has Germany gotten since the MiG-29G came out? the DOA F-4F ICE? It’s been a year since then and we’ve seen F-15s, SU-27s, F-16s JAS39s and more they wouldn’t be getting special treatment, they would be getting equal treatment.
Are you saying the US isn’t going to be getting F-18s? Don’t they have the super hornet?

Additionally you got the mig 29, that was a contemporary to the other 4th gens at the time of which Britain and sweden did not receive 4th gens from Dec with apex predators to December with air superiority.
Also why would super hornets be added with legacy? It seems like you don’t know the jump in capability between them. Also i never stated the US wouldn’t get hornets. They will. I simply stated germany doesnt need to get it alone.

Never suffered? That would be a very surprising comment if you played them. Air wise id say get a ton of vehicles because they made a ton but they also have had to wait to get their own equipment. Ground wise they definitely suffer from a lack of spaa and 8.x is pretty hellish since the lineup doesn’t have much synergy. Regardless yes they do suffer just like every other nation.
Regardless not every nation is going to be a easy ride with plentiful vehicle and lineups at every BR. Thats not how thebgame works. Everyone who played german knew what was gonna happen. No one wants gaps. Thats why i played the US air after grinding britain. The current influx of vehi kes at the time wasn’t appealing to me. I quite the US to try germany and was fine until 7.x-8.x theres a rough patch. Though the alpha has definitely helped. Literally the mindset i go with when pursuing a TT is sustainability. Going forward i new Italy was gonna be stuck with F104’s for a long time and hey look they were. Sometimes you just gotta ride the rough patch out.
Getting a 3rd gen fighter with 4 AMRAAMs is not really putting Germany on equal fighting ground(as I’ve been saying)

The MiG-29 was added at a later patch, and the G was meta for one patch until the F-15s got introduced.
You’re saying the US is gonna be left behind or something, I’m saying they will get newer and better jets. The US has never wanted for jets in war thunder.
I play em man, play em a lot actually. And no, they have never suffered in air, ever.
No one is talking about ground, I don’t want to get into a topic about US ground with US mains.
We have different views on suffering. Id say seeing the vehicle your nation made be on another nation is rough but the US also gets a ton of jets to make up for that.

Additionally at least the KWS has on par weapons. The JA37D had 2 AIM 7E-2’s against R27ER and Aim 7F/M but your right the KWS is entirely different and isnt anything like that. /s
Also I’d argue the J11A is a worse vehicle than the KWS but thats for you to decide.

Seeing another version of a jet you made while get metric asstons of other jets is hardly suffering I’d say.
Always having a meta vehicle and a new jet every patch is a small price to pay
4 on par weapons hardly makes up for a airframe that is just a bus.
I can’t understand any issues the US has in air because they simply don’t make sense. They have had a meta jet every patch, them not getting every single thing ever doesn’t really seem like a real problem to me.
It’s like a rich guy having to pay more taxes then everyone else.
And we all have different tastes. I dont care for the F15 or F16. I like harriers. Its why i enjoyed playing britain. I wanted the AV-8B+ but the US didn’t get it. Italy did. So the US for me wasn’t an appealing or worthwhile option to play. They could be the best vehicle but if they dont have what i want i have no interest. Not everyone can play every nation so again if you’re playing a nation for something specifc wnd its not there it sucks.
Also congrats you got 4 missiles and not 2 inferior missiles like the the Ja37D, again if you wanna keep up the who had it worse game and keep trying to explain why germany needs the f18 first go ahead. I dont care or agree with that statement.(kind alike how you didn’t bother to even think about any of the arguments i made and blatantly ignored them to fit your narrative.) I agree with them getting something but not getting it first because its a childish take.

You do know that the JAS39 is in game? Like it much better flight performance, AIM-120s and AIM-9L/i with less smoke.
Why do you keep comparing it to the 37D? Like they aren’t even close in BR.
No one is saying Germany needs it first, I’m saying Germany needs something and if the gap can be filled by a trialed vehicle that why not? I feel like your honestly ignoring everything I’m saying at this point
