I’ve noticed as of late, after killing someone, or reporting someone in game, that shortly afterwords my buddies and I begin to have strange out of the blue internet issues.
We never get these with other games.
Only Warthunder.
As I am making this post, I recently reported someone for foul language, and suddenly I’ve been booted offline, and unable to play.
My provider has no outage, my system is running fine.
All my other buddies are still in the Xbox party / able to play.
Me? Nope. Currently sitting here unable to play warthunder.
I run 1,000 m/s download speed, 200 m/s upload, and never have any Packet loss or ping.
This is the 3rd time in the last month, 2nd time in the last week.
And it’s not occurring to just me.
First of all, you should never play on a Wifi connection, it might be ok for your phone,
but never a good choice for a PC or console gaming.
Secondly, every single player has a different location, hardware and varying internet
providers/speeds. Basically, no two are alike. Especially when it comes to routing to
the server and back again, no one has the same route. So, while you may have been
having issues and the friends you were playing with were not, that’s a pretty good
indicator of some kind of routing problem.
Gaijin does not own, operate, service or maintain any of the servers the games are
played on(as far as I know) so they are limited as to what the can do anyway.
Save for a hard reset, which is always a last resort and does not happen often at all.
They also have zero control over the internet. So blindly blaming Gaijin for everything,
which is very common among the player base sadly, just doesn’t make sense.
Nor does blaming players from the other side of the world from you . . .
Sure, sometimes a match goes bad and everyone’s plane nose plants in the ground
or you see flying tanks(that usually means someone is about to get disco’d)
But by and large, the vast majority of games go off without issue and this is with
people from all around the planet playing in the matches . . . pretty neat trick actually.
So hard wire that stuff and see if things don’t improve a lot for you . . . .
Easiest fix and definitely worth the effort . …
And a lot less expensive than moving closer to the server . . . ☻
Also lol, why report my post, but not the guy before me?
Secondly; there’s a certain demographic of the world know to use 3rd party software that is morally and ethically wrong to use.
Lastly, yes gaijin can certain hide IP addresses better I’m sure, and to say it’s simply my connection is silly.
We play many other multiplayer games. The only one which has this semi common occurrence also happens to be WT.
And judging by the uptick in banned accounts as of late, clearly there are more problems mounting.
