A request for more respect in our community

Gaijin must earn my respect by giving me a profile icon of a hamster.

“You are right(imho) that repsect is earned in most cases and never
(which has been common over the years) to be “demanded”.”

p.s. . . . I know you are joking . . . so am I . . ☻

and statue of lib profile icon… next time July 4th gaijin please

gajin should HIGH key start treating the player base like they get treated and no its not equal… (don’t try this gajin but I think a few more slop premuims will do the job)

Not becoming, It’s always been like that

I understand what you’re saying, but we have to acknowledge one thing: the game is from around 2013, and now it’s 2026. Developers can make mistakes (it’s understandable), which are usually fixed over time. You can (over time) rely on the player base to improve the game and, in a reasonable way, talk to them about adding gameplay improvements. Year after year, you can correct the bugs that arise so that the gaming experience for all players is enjoyable and balanced, providing entertaining matches with different options for those who like arcade, realism, or simulation. Progressing over the years to create an exceptional game, which is War Thunder’s potential. The problem I see is that the developers acted in the worst possible way to achieve that exceptional game, but they gave the first 10 years of the game the opportunity to improve and correct its bugs, causing many players who started in 2013 to quit. They created a kind of player ambassador program. So that I could contact the devs and give feedback, and then that disappeared. They forgot to fix important bugs, turning realistic matches into a kind of Arcade+. They spent months adding more and more overpowered premium vehicles to make easy money and humiliated the people who report bugs by leaving their reports accepted (or not) for years without them being fixed.

I’m not going to personally insult the devs (since, first of all, I don’t know them), but I will always criticize the flaws they have and don’t bother to fix, either out of sheer laziness or fear of losing a few players who just want to exploit broken mechanics, artificially enhanced normal or premium vehicles, or bugs to get a good win rate and feel like some kind of superior existence to ordinary mortals.

Hey, I normally vibe with what you add.

However, that particular line of logic has a flaw. The person speaking is also responsible for his/her own conduct and character. Respect is as much for your self as it is for the person across the table.

I have gotten fairly rowdy on the forums myself and been rude at times. Gaijins bad faith, poor business decisions, or some dude on the forum with an opinion I think is idiotic does NOT entitle me or anyone else to speach full of hate and condescension.

OP makes a fair point. Gaijin has frustrated a good chunk, if not most, of its player base. And that frustration is coming out as rather immature conduct.

There are nobeler ways with which to effectively express our dissent without justifying our or anyone else’s negative behavior.

Pride goes before the fall. And the man who clings to “respect is earned not given” has a high enough opinion of themself to fall a long way down when they inevitability stumble.

I say none of this as a condemnation of you. I like what you add to stuff most the time, and am speakong out of my own personal experience/failings.

No, no, those were not good times at all… a spectre of the past in a future yet to be written, if without a touch of self-policing to be had.

Ask for feedback and regularly ignore them
A lot of double standards in balancing the game and of vehicles are implemented with “minor” nations still have broken vehicles years after the release
regularly let the complaints of the players falling on deaf year or like in the case of the last years Q&A straight insult their comunity

And you don’t undestrand why people are angry to them?

The comments suggesting I’m being paid or expecting rewards are exactly the kind of personal assumptions I was talking about. You’re welcome to disagree with me, but please address what I actually wrote rather than inventing motives for why I wrote it. I have already said that Gaijin should be criticised and held accountable. Asking for basic civility is not the same as defending every decision they make.

ok ill keep it real simple. they sell 79.99$ premium, often copy paste. Costs more than some AAA. There are multiple said 79.99$ premiums. They said no top tier premium, they lied. (not top br bro!!! we didnt lie!!) (Yet thanks to uptiers you might as well say they are top br) They also persistently try new bs to cashgrab only to face backlash and resort to AI excuse posts to say that its YOUR fault

It’s le free game, they need to make rubles.

If this wasnt free it wouldnt have more than 10 players. And my argument is that they don’t provide anything near that price in return, evident by the fact its the same monotone gameplay for like 15 years now and only recently have they done something about it.

Low effort post might have errors in it (just like most recent updates)

A lot of the community has probably tried this route but it generally ends up as ‘lolnope’ or outright denied because asinine reason.

The most recent example I can think of is Italia and Roma being outright denied for a rate of fire buff despite like 10 to 15 different sources, both military and historian accounts because ‘reasons’. The class was capable of 30.9 second reloads.

But both ships - as a result - are the single most painful top tier in the game to play with a 46.1 second reload aced.
