Nobody seems to play the copyright game any more : ) Mind you Warhammer “borrows” heavily itself. GRB really has become fantasy.
Would a permanent fantasy version allow us to dial back the other game to something a bit more historical and reality based?

It’s like saying letting a kid have a piece of candy should mean they get to eat a bakery. You are taking a concept and stretching it about 5000x beyond its reach. The game has some “LIGHT” fantasy elements that we are both aware of like the matchmaker not respecting historical teams, or things like cold war vehicles being lower BR, but this does not equate to warhammer 40k tanks or halo

What kind of fantasy exists in War Thunder? Everyone knows Germany lost WW2 when the Allies captured the D point and Germany ran out of spawn points

Its all about taking an existing engine and running with it a bit.
I am thinking about others on here ,what they want and how if differs from what I want.

If we think, there are literally no copyrights and royalties to pay
I think I am going to play SF version of WT
as long as
I can fight against scorpions(UNSC), siege tanks(Terran Dominion), or mammoth tank(GDI)
while I can control the Leman Russ,
and can call Valks for CAS
in the name of the god emperor.
I think it will be fun to fight against other humans from another realm to who are the best tankers.

WarThunder is already a fantasy game. Almost the majority of relatively modern equipment is configured without documentation based on the wishes of the developers. And these wishes do not coincide at all with what the equipment is capable of in reality.
