A permanent fantasy War Thunder. Would people play it?

We have had the April fools versions of the game but would people be interested in a permanent fantasy version of the game?

You could have a whole nation based on Warhammer, retro future. Lets face it Fallout ripped them off.
You could have all things manga in another etc etc.

It might give the game an outlet for certain things that maybe don’t fit in the game already.
Might lighten the whole thing up a bit.

Im now imagining a 40k Tank like the Leman Russ fighting a Scorpion from Halo

But then you don’t play GRB that often : )

I would if I could do that :D

Nobody seems to play the copyright game any more : ) Mind you Warhammer “borrows” heavily itself. GRB really has become fantasy.

Would a permanent fantasy version allow us to dial back the other game to something a bit more historical and reality based?

Actually ,you are onto something there. Acquiring or sharing other licenses for real and facing them off. Mutual publicity ; )

This has so much potential. Every syfy group out there gets their own tech tree.
Star trek
Star gate
Warhammer 40k
Star wars
Mechs from anime shows
Star blazers

Throw it all in!

Like the old Dune games where each house had its own personalty.
Could be done with official tie ins or close …er…erm …rip offs : )

No? They are fully unrelated.

They have done it already though haven’t they? Just quickly and short term.
So many seem to want to take this game into fantasy land so I’m saying should we go full regalia ?

It’s like saying letting a kid have a piece of candy should mean they get to eat a bakery. You are taking a concept and stretching it about 5000x beyond its reach. The game has some “LIGHT” fantasy elements that we are both aware of like the matchmaker not respecting historical teams, or things like cold war vehicles being lower BR, but this does not equate to warhammer 40k tanks or halo

Another option, and this would make an excellent april fools event.

Er …yeah …that’s exactly what I’m proposing …you got it

Bringing the context back:

No, releasing a fantasy game does not allow you to make this one less fantasy because they are not related at all.

What kind of fantasy exists in War Thunder? Everyone knows Germany lost WW2 when the Allies captured the D point and Germany ran out of spawn points

Its all about taking an existing engine and running with it a bit.
I am thinking about others on here ,what they want and how if differs from what I want.
The feel like the game is trying to become this anyway.Lets cut to the chase as they say.

what about red alert stuff

Only because The Swedes killed Tank Ace Jurgen Klinsmann at the battle of Peterloo in the American Midwest in 1960,when his BT 5 was taken out by an F16 he didn’t know had been invented yet.
