The game need new Devs.
Skill bonus does not apply to the majority of players, and for the rest it’s 15% mostly and doesn’t make a dent in the total requirement, which is 3 times higher than air.
Foldering a few vehicles was a very minor reduction, half these vehicles were lower BRs so that’s 20-30k RP reduction, that’s irrelevant, whilst at the top you might have some larger reductions, but simultaneously they increased a number of vehicles in rank, which pretty much negated most of the RP gain, and after the update and new vehicles, the total RP requirements are higher than they were before.
Some are even worse, for China my RP requirements increased due to splitting the two top tier vehicles into a different line, forcing me to research an entire additional line of the tech tree which increased the grind.
The bonus reward is supposedly still coming this month but I highly doubt that will be a significant percentage and again will only benefit a small part of the community.
I would like them to revisit their current earning mechanic, the rewards were changed to be heavily dependant on time which is causing severe bottlenecks in RP gain.
Which I suppose was their fully intended way to “balance” the significant improvement to the SL economy.
Great, but it doesn’t solve the RP issue, the SL is great for the lower tier players who struggled, but most people weren’t losing SL in an average match, they just earned very little, it’s again just a change that affects very few people in the end.
And it’s nice to be making some more SL, but really the only use there is to purchase expert crew as without RP reduction there are no vehicles to purchase anyways so now the SL income is just offset from the RP income and we need both to be improved.
This was will prior to the SL changes. It was done shortly after SAB was put into the “Useful Actions” mechanic that they rolled a similar function into AB/RB for everything.
I see. I clearly misremembered the sequence of events.
It may be my bias, because I don’t play for the grind, but I do wish the game was less totalisingly anxious about making a player’s progression as slow as possible, as if that’s the only conceivable motivation you could ever have to play the game consistently.
Gonna have to disagree. Dislike them and their practice of how they do things. They made a great game.
Yes unfortunately the China line is not great right now, although if you have the QN506 their 10.7 lineup is cracked.
Yes that’s why the 3 kill reward in GRB should be 35% not 15%
Gaijin stated in the Night Battles update they’re going to not implement the nation completion bonus as they feel the current RP decreases / bonuses are enough.
I disagree both that it is “enough” and that even if it were it should still be implemented as rewarding players for completing a nation is a very logical mechanic that encourages return and long term grind rather than “I want to drive the Abrams”.
I agree with this, at the very least the current way of progression through tech trees is outdated. I’m very much hoping they still follow through with national bonuses. I also agree that a roadmap should be made again. By putting up a feedback form like earlier this year after the protest, focus can be made in specific areas the community requests. I feel like that would be best after the December update so that Gaijin can take their holiday while pssively gathering feedback and then present a roadmap next year.
All I can say is that they’d do well to follow your advice, mate.
Just make it 10% per kill instead of setting a threshold that is specifically picked because most people don’t hit it… you get a 10% bonus for just 1 kill, 20% for 2 kills and 30% for 3 kills up to 100% for 10 kills, which is barely any different from the current reward system but not specifically designed to screw people out of the bonus.
Or of course just increase RP in general so people don’t have to rely on a bonus, on top of a premium account, a premium vehicle, a victory and a match that lasts long enough.
I don’t think they said they weren’t going to
The changes in progression have a noticeable delayed effect, so at the moment we’re wary of introducing bonuses for nations. We expect mid and long-term results-’
They’re just scared that we might accidentally get more RP than they want us to get somehow, because for some reason they cannot predict the RP gain despite having all the data and all the information and know exactly how these changes will affect RP gain because that’s why these changes were chosen.
Like being a chef and carefully picking the ingredients to make a soup, using all your experience and knowledge but then just stop half way because you pretend you don’t know what is going to happen when you add the next ingredient, so we get to enjoy this undercooked bland garbage in the meantime.
Not stating how long they’re going to take to see the effects is a pretty definitive answer to me. Maybe they’ll prove me wrong and we’ll see something around Christmas.
It probably just means they’ll ignore it until people forget about it, as there is zero reason to delay this promised feature as if they somehow don’t know how these past changes are going to impact RP gain., as if these changes even impact RP gain to begin with.
