As everyone who plays this game knows CAS can be very strong at many different battle ratings. At the very high tiers CAS aircraft carry fire and forget weapons, these weapons lock the enemy (at least the most popular, gnss also exists) and then track them and hit them with precision. Often CAS will launch at freshly spawned enemies sitting in their spawns or who are driving out of spawn to the battlefield, these players have been a alive for less than 20 seconds (can be down to 8 seconds depending on vehicle) and are already destroyed. To stop players who just spawned in from being immediately annihilated I prepose that vehicles with spawn protection still active cannot be locked by fire and forget weapons. This would make it so only enemies who are actively in or entering the battlefield are targets which CAS can engage.
Thats basically it. Although spawns in general could use a rework in this game.
I feel like they should just increase the SP cost to the most powerful bombs and missiles. Right now its pretty easy to end up with enough sp to get in a jet with a full CAS loadout of IR guided missiles/bombs.
If they made the SP cost a bit higher it would reduce the number of them that could spawn in and make the CAS less oppressive.
i wish there was a mode for SPAA vs aircraft and just leave helicopters to support ground battles since these can do just fine and feel more balanced, something like airfield vs airfield both using either planes or antiair for attack/defense purpose, this would even make playing spaa more enjoyable
