A Decal for the Anniversary of the Victory Over Japan

Not sure if you ever read about the divergence between the American people and their government. US citizens were “isolationists” whilst their leadership was actively looking for “measures” to drag the US into WW 2.

It boils down that nobody cared about what happened in China / Manchuria - the embargo was solely aimed to ensure that there will be a war.

No, I don’t know where you read that, but I didn’t write that. My opinion is abbreviated “The US contributed more to the victory and Japan is not a soft and fluffy victim”
That’s all.

In this specific post you mentioned Pearl Harbor. And it seems you also wanted to point China and few others in the Southern Asian, is it?

That was the answer, I wasn’t the first to mention it.
Read the whole dialogue.

My understanding is that projections of an invasion of mainland Japan would’ve led to 1 million US casualties. And the War dragging on to 1946.

I need not point out that that is only US military casualties. God only knows how many people would die.

I must make clear however, I think the Nuclear Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were terrible acts. I’m not sure I could justify killing 60,000 people, by and large civilians, with one weapon in an instant, and thousands more who died or suffered as a result of the bombings.
It is a tragedy to know that American felt the need to resort to the use of such weapons.

Ofc and then get insulted if you say FACT Russia did the most to end WW2.
Just crazy hahahah

Sincerely no, I don’t want to argue in this discussion, I’m only reading the last messages and few specific posts.

It was a collaborative effort of many nations.

If you believe that, the Soviet Union, not Russia.

the USSR was certainly the main canon fodder. Ultimately it was British covert + engineering expertise, American industrial prowess and oil with soviet bullet sponging that collaboratively beat the Axis.

Sure since its so confusing to you its USSR.

May I ask who started the war? xd

Yeah. I love how people always talks about Russia’s glorious efforts in “single-handedly defeating Germany” (after Germany betrayed them), but they never talk about the fact that they were backed by the equivalent of over $180,000,000,000 worth of assistance through the Lend-Lease acts, including thousands of trucks, cars, tanks, planes, boots, uniforms, clothing, food, medical aid, fuel and financial support.

go to Youtube and figure it out. Anything I say will just confuse you and I dont want that. Good luck Im sure big boy like you will be able to figure that out.

Why do I need YouTube?
Can I believe my grandmother from Poland about whose soldiers they saw in September 1939?

It really annoys me when Freeaboos and Commieboos claim that their countries solo beat the Germans and Japanese with zero help. The world would have been screwed if britiain hadn’t held on after the Battle of Britain, America didn’t start lend lease and if Hitler didn’t backstab Stalin after invading Poland. A lot of people forget that the Soviets were on the Axis at first like italy.

yea because a random milennial in front of a camera can totally sum up everything that started the second war

Exactly. It was a JOINT EFFORT.

Everyone contributed to victory… there is no reason to diminish or glorify anyone. Just propaganda and nationalism stuff, I guess.

Of course Russia played an enormous role at weakening and defeating Germany, but it wasn’t so one-sided nor so glorious (as you said, they were allies until Germany betrayed them, so they did not go to war out of principle, rather, just self-defence). Just the same way U.S did not single-handedly win the war either, as others claim.
