It is, however, important to realise the RAF was made up of not solely Brits. Various Forces in Exile (Polish, Czech, French, Belgian, Dutch, to name a few) were flying RAF Aircraft in the Battle of Britain. Not to mention the Commonwealth, who turned out some excellent pilots thanks to the training plans.

The sole purpose of lend-lease was to let other people die and to play geopolitical chess. Just look at military casualties and you got the proof for my first claim.
If you look at the outcome: The USSR heartland was destroyed, the former naval superpower UK was bankrupt thanks to lend-lease debt, JP (as sole rival in the Pacific) was in ruins - and the 2 nukes told the USSR who is in charge now. Perfect chess.
