A-5C is clearly overtiered

it flies like a brick, has only two missiles that aren’t anything special, has only 18 COUNTERMEASURES, less than almost all other aircraft at 10.7, and is at the same br as the J-7D that is just plain better in every aspect other than ground attack. lower it to 10.3 so it won’t be at the same br as the Q-5 without missiles

The a5c may seem over tiered rn but thats just because of how many jets are under teired rn. I cant think of a single mig 21 thats at its correct br for example (that includes to the j7d). Everything else needs to be moved up before we can start moving stuff down

The a5c also has a unique fm where you need to dump speed to dog fight anything, watch some videos on it before deciding its bad, especially when moving it down would cause 9.3s without flares to have to see this. The mig 21mf/smt is bad enough.

its overtiered but it would only ever go back to 10.3, and I’d prefer they just decompress the * game.

Send J-7D up to 11.0 is better than
send A-5C down to 10.3 to make it the same BR with Super Etendard

A-5C looks overtiered and acts like being overtiered
But it is caused by undertiered jets like J-7D or NF-5.

Doesnt A-5C get whats basically MiG-19 FM?

It’s the same BR like e.g. the A-10A, which has 2-4x all-aspect IR-AAM’s, HUD with CCRP, SAS, AGM’s. It’s really an old, outdated crate compared to what it encounters.

Sure, one can make it work, but it wouldn’t be undertiered if it was 0.7-1.0 BR lower.

Okay im not exactly sure if OP is talking about RB or SIM, but assuming he is talking about RB

Dont you think that whats basically MiG-19 with two magics and flares might be a tad bit OP at 9.7?

yeah it would be massively insanely undertiered instead…

Ha, mixed it up, undertiered of course!

And yes, I mainly speak for Sim.

Basically.

It’s heavier and less maneuverable, but you get much better engines (roughly 10-15% better I think) which gives it a considerable speed and acceleration boost.

I’d recommend buying it if there wasn’t several better premiums at the same BR.

Truth to be said, I was eyeing A-5C for a long time, but never had the opportunity to get it.

We shall see during the next sales.

But now you’re saying it would be fine at 9.7 and thats just not true, it would be unbeatable nonsense.

Compressed. 10.7 is suitable for a flared magic carrier with energy performance when seen from below but 10.7 to higher is too compressed.

bit worse, maybe an un-compressed -0.3 difference overall. Heavier, pulls less, and no nr30 anymore. Energy performance is still there

That old 10.0 A5C nightmare :O

Super Etendard is inferior to A-5C, they should not be the same BR.

In sim, the Q-5 series of aircraft are over-BR’d.

Man… that is what I am talking…
:(

The sentence break, and without punctuation does not indicate the meaning you intended.
I appreciate the clarification though.

imo a-5c is fine at its br. I got an ace on either the q-5a or the l, forgot which one, but I’m pretty sure they’re the same plane barring air to air missiles, and I found those planes to be utter wrecking balls because it’s essesntially a mig 19 that compresses like a brick at high speed, which means at medium to low speeds you slam basically everything. with better guns

it should be 10.3, i have no clue wtf is doing at 10.7
and also no clue what the q5a and q5L are doing at 10.0, they dont even have missiles

I hate fighting these damn things in 9.7s. Let alone 9.3s as most cant do anything against a A-5C. You cant kinematically defeat a Magic 1. You probably odnt have flares and you are probably subsonic.

Meanwhile, you cant use your missile against them because well, they have flares.

it’s super slow, not fast enough to take the base and feels like a brick. The missle is not a very good one, and can oly carry two… I mean, if we aren’t fast enough to boom the base, at least we need like 4 missiles, two is way to few.
