If you have grinded air to get through rank 6 and 7 in the past year with a jet that has no flares or has no missiles or both I’m so sorry for you. I have avoided going back to that br but now I’m grinding sweden for the gripen and it’s worse than I could have ever imagined.
If you face anything with 20g missiles or more you will not be able to do anything if they get behind you and fire a missile. It’s even worse with all-aspect missiles. And not to mention supersonics, if you are in a subsonic then supersonics like the MiG-21 and F-104 can be impossible to kill because they can just speed to mach 1 and leave without even thinking you can be a threat to them.

There are a few solutions to this problem.
Here are some of my suggestions.

  1. decompress br (obviously) and make all these 50s jets a full 1.3 or 2.0 bracket away from anything with 20 g missiles
  2. give everything flares completely ignoring historical accuracy just for balance
  3. add a game mode that separates more modern CAS aircraft that focuses on ground pounding from fighter aircraft that are much older.

Give CAS planes separate BR in GRB and ARB. American A-4B is higher than Israel one because has GBU. But it doesn’t matter in ARB.

It is pretty sad that old kings such as F-2 Sabre and CL-13, MiG-17, Hunter F.1 are fallen by BR compression.

This is one of the worst things. The Chinese Q-5A is 10 times better than the Q-5L because it has flares yet the Q-5A is at 9.0 (where it should be) while the Q-5L is at 9.7 while being worse than the 9.0 Q-5A in Air RB.

This bracket is its own little hell right now. I played 9.0 last night. I forget just how stupid the mix of missile verse no missile combat is… 🤦‍♂️
