8.3 has Just becomed Unplayable it’s the Light tank hell
This is Unplayble, Do i need to state how annoying it’s to deal with light tanks/SPAA this need to stop.
Meanwhile me sitting in a Vickers/Vijayanta - “yes light tanks, overextend and be easy pickings for my ez nuke”.
It really isnt that hard fighting the light tank hordes when they crop up. The problems are 2 fold and both are generally due to user/team error.
- overextension - you went too far too fast from your team and have little to no support
- lack of coordination - you or your team refuse to look at the map and use the map. See a flank thats open? Keep an eye on it because 90% likely a light tanks busted through it and knocked out your own teams light on that flank. See a ping on the map? Actually look and engage it. See an enemy? Ping on the map so your allies KNOW THE ENEMY IS THERE. (inb4 “but i died”, you can still ping just after death if you press the map button quickly for a couple of seconds, you also can ping when you respawn)
The main advantage with light tanks isnt that lights are OP, its that the enemy team effectively turn to potato brain “me, myself and I” and dont help each other via map marking/reading the map to give fire support.
Prime examples being when someone is being plinked by an enemy light tank and their ally hides until the light tank kills their ally then comes out because “its safer” instead of coming out to engage while the ally is alive and the light isnt even looking at them. And ofc, if you are in something relatively slow, good chance the light can slew the gun around and clap the hider when they do act.
Or you have a guy on the team constantly pinging an avenger level threat and nobody looks at it and it proceeds to knock out 5 guys in a row (I have done this myself as a light, noticing when I load up a reply that I am pinged multiple times by an enemy but their team just ignored me).
Theres so many scenarios like that which lead to the problems of light tanks completely crippling enemy teams. Its simply teamwork failure and a light/fast medium can exploit it relatively easily compared to a heavy/heavy medium.
