8.0 matchmaker is broke!

Now this

is just outright false and a dumb statement. You’re never truly going to be able to see both sides of a vehicle unless you’ve 1. played it, and 2. played against it. I could say “X tank is so OP, I’m always dying to it”, and when I finally unlock and play it myself, I’d find out it’s actually not anything special at all and those who play it are just exceptionally skilled players (cough french tanks cough).

Point being, you DO have to play with, as well as against, a vehicle in order to have an educated opinion on it.

Vidar completely outclasses all 7.0-8.0 tanks and you want to sealclub them all day? Yeah no thanks get destroyed by 9.0 tanks in your 9.0 premium artillery (that should be it’s BR or at bare minimum 8.7). Those Vidars are giving me cancer while i’m playing my M47 and OF-40.

You have insane firepower with super quick reload, laser rangefinder, thermals, and pretty good mobility. Shit is p2w. And people say 2S38 is too overpowered while it dies to anything as long as you switch your main shell to something with explosive filler.

Why should it be 8.7? HE is super wonky, the vehicle is massive, unstabilized and has no armor. Laser rangefinder and thermals are a big help but that’s why it’s two spaces above the Type 99. Unless you’re suggesting that the 99 should go up as well…

Not sure I want to spend £40 just to say launching 10kg HE every 6-7 seconds with Gen 2 Thermals and Laser Rangefinding might be a little overtuned for 8.0. I know it’s hard for Sweden with such serious vehicles like the USH and ItPsV 90 to know what a fair vehicle is.

HE can practically 1hk anything (even T-90A if you decide to play it at top tier) if you know how to aim, doesn’t matter if it doesn’t have stabilizer since you won’t be rushing with it but camp in some comfortable location, you have huge advantage over all tanks of 8.0 since you have thermal, and only few tanks at 8.0 have laser range finders. The less armor the better you are damn agile for such massive beast.
Type 99 has crappy engine, is way less mobile, turret rotation is much slower, depression is way worse and doesn’t even have LRF + Thermals so it’s fine at 7.3.

The USH is pretty terrible to be honest. The chassis is downright terrible. Absolutely no armor and only 2 crew while still being very very slow for a light tank/armored car. Yeah the gun is annoying to deal with but the Raketen is the same Br with better armor, twice as much ammo, and is faster.

The ItPsv 90 is a BR higher than the chieftain marksman with the same turret which accounts for the better chassis. Personally I’ve never had an issue killing them because of the lack of turret armor.

What I wrote was meant to be applicable to all vehicles, not just the VIDAR. For premium/event vehicles, merely test driving, and attempting to simulate real-match situations can give you an idea of how the vehicle performs in battles

I’m not asking you to buy a virtual tank you don’t even want, just be aware that not seeing both perspectives on a vehicle will bias your opinion.
Hope that cleared it up!

Thats true except for the fact of how inconsistent it is to overpressure. Unless you’re fighting light tanks there’s a good chance that a direct hit just won’t op for no reason. This affects all HE slingers. And if you’re just going to be sitting at the back of the map (according to you) why does mobility matter? The Type 99 has better turret rotation than the VIDAR according to stat card. VIDAR has better gun depression only by 2 degrees and they both suck anyway since VIDAR is 4 degrees and Type 99 is 2 degrees. And like I said the laser rangefinder and thermals are why the VIDAR is 8.0 and no 7.3. Even throw in mobility and gun depression and it’s still comparable to the 2 BR difference other tanks have. For example the T-62 and T-72 are only 2 BR brackets apart.Thats also the space between 2S25 and 2S25M. So yes a 2 br difference will warrant a large increase in capability.

So you didn’t. Then you have no say in it.

It does not matter. I have more of a say than you do.

The whole game is broken

watch out they will ban you

I am glad you don’t get a down tier often.I dont want to face the Vidar in my 7.7 Israeli junkboxes. Praise the Lord for this broken game.

actually, it matters. Hence, you do not have much to say

the entire matchmaker is broken not just one BR

Entire is a bit too much there are still some Brs which are really funny to play. My favorites are the 9.0 Italien ground lineup and the 8.7 sweden lineup. U just need to play the vehicels which are good for your playstyle. But still the matchmaking is broken on most BRs

Complaining while playing 8.0 sweden with 3 premium for a line up and decent tech tree options, the VIDAR (broken as hell and clubbing everything it meets from the other side of the map) and also being placed in the same team as germany and urss almost every match.

Lmao, ok.

Bro the VIDAR was the first premium stuff I ever bought (also the onlyest one). Still I’m not skill issue. Just telling u guys that and asking for some opinions.

Fair enough.

Still, 8.0 is broken, yes. The ones suffering the most are the minor nations (Sweden excluded atm) and the US. The game urgently needs a decompression in all BRs to solve most of the balance problems or, if not possible, a comprehensive change on the matchamaking system, pairing nations taking into account what each tech tree brings to the table at every rank to avoid matches where a team is outclassed from the start due to the lack of variety and options to deal with their opponent (ie.: lack of AA, lack of CAS, lack of light vehicles…)

Because 8.7-9.0 is flooded with more players, making it be an up tier most of the time. Gaijin disdains the act of putting cold-war tanks against WWII, so down tiers aren’t allowed, besides, a Tiger II really shouldn’t see a VIdAr, let alone a Walker Bulldog.
