That’s too convenient, and therefore, the core issue that solid shot sucks massively will continue to go unaddressed.
Sure, the 6-pdr has plausible access to a more reliable round, but what do we do when a tank has no such possibility; or is stock, purely relying on uncapped solid shot. Should we just be complacent with the game’s handling of solid shot and accept that the tank will feel underwhelming? Obviously not, hence why I think our energy is better spent advocating for a rework of kinetic damage that will benefit the game as a whole rather than purely advancing the interest of British mains.

I agree in principle, but the fact is, despite constant pushes for it, Gaijin has had 10 years to address the huge disparity in performance between full calibre solid shot and APHE (which has absolutely no basis in reality), and yet they have failed to do so.

Yeah, in an ideal world, ammunition selection at low tier would actually be balanced (you’d think this would be a pretty low bar), but it isn’t, and that doesn’t seem like it is going to change. So the next best option is unfortunately to beg for scraps of APHE wherever they can be found.
