Have you ever encountered a situation like me where a Russian tank’s bullet hit the fuel tank or the weak points of a tank like the Leopard or Abrams V2 could not penetrate? It’s like a farce for everyone to see!! I don’t understand what Gaijin is doing with the “game balance” mantra. This situation happens almost every match and I can’t continue playing because it’s been so frustrating for more than 2 or 3 weeks now.

Rounds don’t spall. Never have in-game, never have IRL.

And this plate seems to have absorbed the spalling of the upper front plate you hit.

This is not a Russian MBT exclusive issue.
I have the exact same thing regularly happen to my Merkavas when fighting against Russian vehicles. (And not just Russian ones, Leopards, Abrams, everything else too).
Tracks eat rods. Fuel tanks eat rods. Vision ports eat rods. Sometimes carousels eat rods. Its very frustrating but I can assure you the grass is not greener on the other side. For every example you can show me of a Leopard teleporting your 3BM60 to the shadow realm, i can show you an example of 80BVM / 90M doing the same thing.

Also that piece of metal is not a spall liner, that’s not how it functions, the problem is with volumetric models which have funny overlaps and cause BS nonpens.
It’s funny cause the T-34 and Panther are great examples of volumetric hell armour. If you go to Protection Analysis there are certain spots where top tier round can’t pen T-34. It can have 1000mm+ armour in some tiny places. Look at the armour thickness here.
