Most people who are crying about the 2S38 just never played it.
Is it good ? Yes it is, but it’s not OP.
Could it go to 10.3 ? Yes
I own it and i also play multiple other nations, never had a problem with the 2S38. When i did, it was a skill issue on my end. It is also not as easy to play as people think it is. It is a glass cannon, slow and has no gun depression.
Against braindead helis and jets it’s very good. You also run out of your ready rack pretty quick if you don’t pay attention and from then the reload is very long.
People crying about russian bias tend to never have played the russian tree to top tier anyways.
But i guess since 2 years now it makes you extra cool to hate russia.

2S38’s analogues are Strf 9040C, HSTVL, and Begleit.
now compare it to the Begleit.
faster, lower silhouette, better survivability, ATGM, lower pen but way better post pen, HE-VT, no radar lock.
2S38.
big as a barn, never gets to top speed, 3 sardines lined up in the front, no armor, shit post pen due to Otomatic/HSTV-L caliber nerf…etc its only better than the Begleit as an SPAA due to the radar lock

Spikes are mostly useless, unless the whole target is exposed, another thing it’s a huge target, very easy to shoot at and lastly it’s canon has almost 2x less pen then the 2s38. In no way it’s better then 2s38 overall

That’s a playstyle difference then, which is subjective.
All @PacketlossRedux is proving is that 2S38 would be 9.3 without APFSDS.
Way better post pen isn’t an argument, you easier damage thing or not at the respective BR
That’s why 2s38 is a problem it can pen even MBTs even in frontal projection, it’s a constant headache to not miss your first shot

That will be great, pen values are the main problem. It’s damage model is also somewhat problematic but still you can deal with it if 2s38 won’t be so effective from the frontal projection
2S38 CAN pen SOME MBT’s frontally through weakspots with accurate shot placement.
Begleit can ATGM the shit out of them in a lot more places and deal more damage per impact
