I am 6 days out from the Object 122 MT, and oh boy I literally can’t wait to play it!
however, I am a noob at the game still(lvl 34) and am wondering how is the right way to play such a vehicle. I know most of the weak points on tanks there, but any tips? Also feel free to test my knowledge on the BR, like “what places to shoot on a Strv 104”(LFP, it’s still a centurion despite the ERA and darts) or something
even if this topic had no replies, ty anyways

You’re probably going to get someone commenting not to move up so quick due to your low rank, but hey it’s your SL.
Not sure what lineup you currently have, and I don’t play that vehicle, but I do play the Type 69 which is similar.
Laser range finder, good gun, decent armor, it plays like any other Soviet style tank from that era. It’s got decent mobility, and the addition of ATGM will be helpful.
Gun depression isn’t terrible, nor is it bad like some others, so you don’t have to worry that much about having to be on somewhat level ground. You’ll need to learn to fire on the move, as most tanks/APC should have stabilizers.
Can’t provide more than that as it’s just tends to be a faster paced game as you move up (also much more expensive). My only real advice is to bank a bunch of SL if possible, as it’ll make it easier for mods and repair purchases.

I have no chinese lineup there. I am currently grinding out a wager for the purchase/crewing although like the M901 I should probs wait on playing it
after I get dis Object 122 MT I’ll go research perhaps the leopard 2pl. I feel (somewhat) confident in my ability to play top tier tbh
Normally I’d say to at least have some vehicles to surround it, so your not just a one trick pony. But now with the daily backups, you’ll be able to spawn an extra tank.
My normal lineup for any BR is 1x SPAA, 1x light tank/apc, 1x medium/heavy tank, and 1x CAS. That way I’m not wasting a ton of experience building up 4 or 5 more crews. In your case it seems your jumping in on the squadron vehicles and playing here and there.
I have it, it’s ok, but it’s only real advantage is hull down behind a hill.
Fair. The daily backups are probably one of the best things they’d done last year.
the M901 is…intriguing. It’s -30° of depression is among the best, and thermals are cool…but if I get Sweden or anything heavily CQC based, WTF am I supposed to do without a lineup? Camp a corner agressively? March into battle at 5km/h…?
Im sure doesnt matter where you shoot a centurion the sabot will always pen.
Idk, I shoot for weakpoints on M4A1 when I play a VK3002M. It can’t hurt to practice aiming for weakpoints, nor can it hurt to shoot for weaker armor :)
The thing its that the whole centurion its weak armor against sabots. That ERA doesnt help against sabots, only against heat.

lol, that’s fair. I guess I don’t aim for weak points when I shoot L3s…
The only way to build a lineup, is pick a country and start from the bottom and work your way up to build it.
Thermals are 1st gen and poor vision. The gun depression is good, but when traveling the turret rotates and collapses down when you hit a certain speed. You have to factor that time it takes for the turret to deploy once you slow down or stop. It’s poor armor and low power/torque makes it slow to move around.
USA is my second most progressed nation I have, and I am currently making the 5.0 lineup for USA - if u can call an M6A1, M4A1(76)W, M55, and T77E1 a “lineup”
I am nowhere near 8.3, and that’s probably a good thing
That’s a decent lineup. You’ll want to try build lineups that are fairly close in BR. The T77E1 is actually a decent SPAA and will carry you for a while in that role. I prefer it over the 40 mm armed SPAAs which are decent at anti-tank but take some skill to use effectively against CAS.
I’ll emphasis the fact that you’ll want to continue to try and bank SL. The high tiers cost a lot to unlock, plus to spade. Premium accounts go a long way to mitigate that pain, but that’s a personal choice. I tend to buy my premium during sales, but I’ve been playing for years.
Check my stats on the T77E1, it’s negative, but it’s one of my best performing SPAAs, other than the U-SH 204 GK. It’s carried me so hard through fighting planes
