You can detonate the ammo with common APHE but it doesn’t appear to kill the crew.
Still
Why is Wiesel 20mm 7.3 BRed and this Italian car 6.0? Same firepower, similar mobility. Top speed in favor of the Fiat. Ammo boxes are also not outside, like we have it with the Wiesel. So much better protection for the Fiat. On top this bonus missile, which can be used quite well out of movement to take out even heavy tanks. Once you get used to the range, you can get consistent driveby hits.
The BR difference is a bit excessive. Imho it should be 7.7, not 6.0…
- The Fiat is absolutely huge compared to the Weisel
- The Weisel has better gun handling
- The Weisel has thermals
- The Weisel is faster and has better manuverability (The Fiat will almost never reach its top speed and wheeled vehicles are awful for urban combat)
The only things that the weisel has going for it is that its small and has thermals. The fiat is better in all other respects.
Considering you genuinely believe the fixed elevation rocket launcher is OP idk what to tell you
Spoiler

Nah, it’s just the icing on the cake of an already under-br’d vehicle. Sorry if the truth offends you.
That’s how the concept of that vehicle genuinely looks like
Spoiler

one, weisel gets gen 3 thermals.
two, weisel gets a stabilizer
thirdly, weisel is small AF, it might die if someone looks at you, but even without using a bush, theyre hard to spot if you use your brain slightly and hide behind something that is actually solid cover. like a rock.
I dont think the weisel gets a stabilizer, and even if it does, it doesnt do anything because the platform is so small that any change in terrain at all sends your gun to the moon.
Yeah, it has thermals and is smaller, but not sure that’s worth a 1.3 br gap when the gun doesnt do anything.
It doesn’t.
Furthermore it has a limited gun traverse angle, 180° IIRC
About the general placement - weisel would actually feel worse playing at 6.7 than at 7.3 due to the presence of heavy armor and props it can’t counter effectively. Strange vehicle overall but I do think that 7.3-8.0 range is best for it, talking from the experience.
Why
That’s the BR it started at and it was obnoxious
It’s like saying the PUMA sucks at 10.0 it should go back to 8.3
I already identified a lot of my reasons, but I can provide more–
The Bradley (which is a piece of garbage vehicle) at 8.3 and the M551 at 8.0 are more useful at 8.7 than the XM800T. In fact, i bet i could take the m18 to 8.7 and do better than with the XM800T (without using the drone).
The XM800T is functionally equivalent to the Type 87 RCV P but sits a full BR higher than it.
The US still has one of if not the largest gaps in SPAA capabilities in the game (and the skink is over-br’d), which the XM800T would remedy (yes im aware it’s a light tank, but lots of vehicles on this list are light tanks that Gaijin repurposed to be SPAAs).
Now before you say, “but mein scimitar,” that vehicle is a POS also and should go down too.
Also the XM800T was never oppressive like the PUMA. The PUMA was extremely OP before they started adding more modules and too this day it remains a viable IFV because of its APFSDS and overall survivability.
The XM800T came to the game as a major annoyance to other light tanks that were dominating the meta against heavy tanks at the time it was introduced. The XM800T was not itself problematic.
Yea, because it was more opressive, lol. Due to how annoyingly small and fast it was. Putting it in a br bracket where almost everyone lacks gun handling wasn’t the best decision.
God damn…
Hell it was and still is.
That is some selective memory you have there. I can distinctly remember what it was like when the XM800T released.
A bunch of supersonic rat tanks practically teleporting around the map (When compared to the early cold war tanks it was matched up against), evaporating every single lightly armored target they could see due to the stabiliser and the crazy high fire rate, and instantly tracking and barreling everything else.
They were supremely annoying to kill due to the small size and incredible mobility. Main guns trained too slowly, it was resistant to .50s from the front (And rarely fought that many of them), and anything with an autocannon was pretty much hard countered by the XM owing to the stabiliser.
Even the various stabilised SPAAs it faced in an uptier were at best equally matched, and at worst hard countered since it’s far easier to hide the XM and hit people from ambush than it is with the 35mm SPAAs.
Of course, in the long list of Gaijin’s massive balance issues, they weren’t the most annoying. The BMPT, T58, PUMA, R3, and 1954 EBR all were either more problematic at their original BRs or too close to call. And the XM is far more manageable now that it’s actually having to fight stabilised vehicles on an even footing, rather than bullying unstabilised tanks that just can’t react quickly enough.
Only from point blank range, not to mention the 20mm will be pretty useless against the WWII vehicles it faces except for getting assists
I found it funny how yesterday an MX800T easily overtook my AMX-30 head-on. Because it had a stabilizer and I didn’t, it could easily get past me since it could fire while moving, appearing from behind one of the countless obstacles on the maps used to conceal tanks. The sheer number of obstacles on the maps makes stabilizers one of the most important things in the game (unfortunately).
Does hitting the launcher cause over pressure?
If so it would be better without the big target sticking off the roof.
