I guess everything is in the title.
14 games at BR +1.0, and just one BR +0.7. Most of them with german 9.3 and english 3.3.
15 games represent at least 2h30.
Sure I am completely ok with the BR spacing logic. Everyone is anyway.
I’m also ok if uptiered games (those who you are in the lowest BR) occurs more than downtiered ones. It seems logic as grind get longer with higher BR, so more time spent on them, so more players.
But… 15? In a row! Seriously. I admit it’s quite exceptional. But we all know full uptiered games represent very probably at least 75% of them, if it’s not more.
What’s the mechanic (matchmaking logic) behind that.
Are there really no way to, at least, slightly improve the situation?
Dev team need to realize that the overall mechanic of the game is already toxic (grinding, economy, pay to grind faster, etc). So I really believe at little effort should be done on the matchmaking.
A game is made to be enjoyable, not to get mad.
And yet every match there are players at top BR and one or two steps below the top!
The game is unable to cater to individuals (YOU are not special) but a player can be savvy and find the sweeter spots. Yes, you cannot always play exactly what you want, but why should that one lineup/zone be so special, just for YOU?
Yes, it feels frustrating, I will not deny that. But so many ways around it, even just understanding that you WILL face people of same BR even in the full up tier (so people can’t handle vehicles at their own BR?!).
And this is GFRB so you can be a scout/support (not all 16 per side have to be the “hero” which I presume many want to be due to odd expectations in life), you can spawn a plane to either harass the enemy or defend from enemy aerial attack.
But I am sure the 10 ft by 10ft maps with spawn as the cap and we all line up to shoot til we see who win the close range firing duels are not too far off.
If certain spots in the game become tiresome from up-tiers then other spots might not be as bad, many people have given sage advice on working this system. Of course if you want 100% satisfaction every match then this random team game is going to upset.
