f18 should never be 12.3, 0.3 more than f4J.
The F-18A faces many 3rd generation fighters; this shouldn’t be happening.
We previously compared the F-18A and F-18C with the F-16 MLU, ADF, and J, which were 12.7-series aircraft with a much inferior missile kit. However, the Gaijin was so clever that they moved those aircraft to 13.3 so we would stop making that comparison.
There are still fighter jets like the MiG-29, 9-12, and F-16J, and when we compare them to the F-15 and F-18s, we clearly see that the F-18 and f15 is under br.
To which I don’t see a huge problem. Its a very maneuverable plane at low speeds, but overall it is a transsonic airframe with limited BVR potential albeit having a powerful radar.
The only way you can go beyond M1 is going on altitude, where even F-4s will mog you through energy potential in a hypothetical joust. If you’re seriously struggling against F/A-18As, you’re probably approaching them incorrectly.
Not every american stuff must be compressed while everyone else gets a free pass because of it, and yes, that includes the aussie F/A-18A and the F-15A/J(This one could go to 13.0, AAM-3s are very good)/Baz.
yep br 13 was long messed up even before su30s , now its impossible to play it unless youre a su30 premium user , its insane how many kills they get in a single game , all because of the spamraam , how am i supposed to play or grind this game seriously?
I have an Australian F-18A and I fly high with it and simply win all the matchups against 3 gen.
Both the F-18A and C threaten the existence of many other aircraft in the same br or next to him , such as the JH-7, Kunas 2000, F-4EJ Kai, Mirage 2K series, Kfir C-7, Tornado F-3 and ADV, F-20, Harrier GR7, J-37D and MiG-29 (9-12)… and others ( i can’t remember)
You don’t see those planes anymore, some very rarely, but the largest of them have disappeared.
The blame for this doesn’t lie solely with the su 30s, but the F-18s bear a very large share of the blame for the disappearance of these aircraft.
The F18 simply ended the heterogeneity/diversity of matches.
There has simply been an impoverishment of the diversity of matches, as “off-meta” planes no longer have a place or existence in this ecosystem.
I have the F-15A and the F-15J (even got the Baz without crew, but there it is) and I lose every single BVR and WVR encounter against premium Su-30 players (if they’re decent) once they notice me. Your point?
BR differences are there for a point. Not every US fighter must be decompressed because of its air performance, because if so, the F-15A/J/Baz placement at 12.7 is absolutely justified besides its top speed and acceleration.
Agree on 9Ms, but can the aircraft carry 2 more fox-1s irl
Same here, except no reason to give the 18A the AIM-7P and also 2 more missiles or it just becomes the F-18C Early that was already compressing the BR. Like I said, same question anyway, can it use 2 more missiles irl?
On the Hornet Sting dev server, the F-18A used 8 missiles and the F-18C 10 missiles, which at the time was already absurd because the 12.7 missiles available were from F-16s and MiG-29s with 6 missiles each.
However, Gaijin removed 2 missiles from each and reduced their missile range to 12.3 and 12.7 (previously both were 12.7).
Then in the next patch, if I’m not mistaken, they changed all the F-16s (mlu e adf) 12.7 to 13.3 (except for the F-16J), and abandoned the MiG-29.
I’ll use the f15J because it’s the most egregious example of the three.
Why does the F-15J have to have a smaller br than the F-2 Premium?
It carries the same missiles, fewer countermeasures, but has a better radar.
The F2 performs better in dogfights, but the F15 is a much better platform overall.
Why does the F2 have a higher br than the F15J?
It would seem like the bajillion 12.7 hornets are now on the recieving end of the stick. Oh well.
Everyone else is simply caught in the crossfire, the BR range is filled to the brim with premiums, so “everyone else” as all the TT vehicles are the minority here.
The F-15 part is an evident opinion, to which i don’t share at any point.
The radar is exponentially better, even better than F/A-18A-C standards. But I agree the F-15J with its AAM-3s is the stronger of the three eagles at 12.7, but that alone doesn’t justify all three eagles to go at 13.0.
If anything, they should just remove the AAM-3s from the J.
Tell me which other 12.7 has 4 SAHR missiles and 4 IR missiles with IRCCM.
In the same br, we have M2KC S5s with 2 SAHRs and 2 IRCCM missiles, we have Belgian F-16 OCUs and Belgian F-16As with 6 IRCCM missiles.
We have the Yak 141 which also doesn’t come close to the F-15’s loadout; the Yak’s loadout is very similar to the Mirage’s.
We have the F-16J, “the last F-16 with the original loadout” (an aircraft that doesn’t even exist, but it’s cool).
And there’s the F-18C which has 6 SAHR missiles and IR missiles without IRCCM… It’s already strong; it could easily have 2 more missiles and missiles with IRCCM and be 13.0
Edit: I forgot about the MiG-29, poor thing, it’s on life support at 12.7 without R73, only with R60 and R27ER (which it shouldn’t even have).
f15 in 12.7 is stretching the 12.7 line too much.
Just like the su30s stretching the 13.3 line too much.
The F-15 wasn’t the worst of the 13.0; it was average. Besides, the Mirage 4K is much worse than it and remains at 13.0, and should remain at 13.0 because if it goes to 12.7, it would be stretching too far.
The problem is that all 13.0 versions have terrible matchmaking due to compression.
It’s already a difficult Br because it’s a transitional Br.
With the SU30s, the br became unplayable for 13.0, and that will probably only change when the SU30 enters one Sales. (I would guess in sales)
we’re going to have matchs that are much more saturated with SU30, and things are going to become unfeasible.
When the situation becomes even more unbearable and unsustainable than it already is, maybe gaijin will do something (this same situation applies to bmpt, wait for this crap to go on sale).
No one, but blame the current compression within 11.7/13.7, not the F-15As for it.
But its one of the best dogfighters in the BR bracket, even making the F-16s make a run for their money if they play slightly wrong.
I’ve always advocated for the M4K and the F-15A/J/Baz to be quite the functional sidegrades. The fact Gaijin moved the F-15A/J/Baz to 12.7 but didn’t moved the M4K is simply unfair and there’s no argument excusing them.
Until decompression happens at top tier, the F-15As as a whole have no business dealing with a tactically better airframe for ARB purposes such as the Su-30 (with R-27ERs, R-77s + 20km HMS) on a usual basis.
Poor thing, a radar that doesn’t go MEM above 45°s with R-27ERs and all aspect IR missiles for orbital slinging, so unplayable. /s
That’s the real problem, this plane can’t have its BR reduced.
just like f15 can’t be
The solution to all these problems is decompression, not recompression over and over.
The situation with the game is much worse than it was 11 months ago.
where the game recompressed forcefully with the addition of f18.
Gaijin doesn’t agree with this.
In an ideal world, decompression would be the only solution to any balance consideration. Gaijin has proved us again and again they disagree, and that they believe otherwise.
Unless they decompress 14.7 to 15.0, calling out the F-15A to 13.0 or the M4K to stay at 13.0 is simply unfair to both cases.
i bit the bullet and tried the 4000 and so far I’m mostly getting downtiers, and its a pleasant surprised, especiallly the 530D, my god what a good little missile. It’s very slow but the tracking is excellent, such a refreshing change from the 530F(uck you)
So far most of my deaths have been r27er’s and just crashing while caught in a 1v3/4, the low speed handling is absolutely atrocious I’m not gonna lie.
Personally I like having some reach so I once I get the upgrades I’ll run 3 530D’s
