known is an understatement. it’s their entire purpose. there was a thread on 2023(or was it 2024 i can’t remember) talking exactly about 0.7 matchmaking spread. And it is still the same Alvis who spew the same anti-player pro-gaijin BS on that one big thread. then there are smaller thread that talk about it and they once more spew the same anti consumer vitriols by concern trolling.
Its only debatable if you dont factor in br changes.
Objectively, a smaller br spread means that any br change of a vehicle brings a larger impact on its mm.
Plus max br increase is more likely since it has already been done multiple times.
I have always said that not the company itself but the playerbase is the true obstacle in front of quality improvements of the game. Some people just run to the rescue as if they are employed trolls by Gaijin. Well, I realized while writing that this actually makes sense. Maybe they are?
looks at the APHE rework vote
I would agree with that BR decompression has been done many times before and is more likely, but i am not sure of what you mean by larger impact on its MM. Would you care to elaborate on that? Cuz all I think of it is that it would make a positive impact towards a generally more fair and balanced matches.
Remember, 12.7 ground use to be 10.7.
And 14.7 air use to be 12.0 air.
@ZarathustraE
That’s not what the word “contradiction” means, the word you meant to use is “consistent”.
4 is more slots for balancing than 3, this is why 0.7 is a failure and only World of Tanks and Armored Warfare use 0.7 equivalent matchmakers.
4 slots means Tiger 2, Tiger 2 105, T32/IS-3, and IS-4/Maus can all be separate BRs.
3 slots means more of those have to share BRs.
You said this, in your original post:
How did you forget your post stated a demand World of Tanks’ 3 slot matchmaker?
So yeah, Decompression > your demands for matchmaker BR compression.
Decompression is infinitely easier and superior to your 2010 idea Wargaming implemented.
@小小格温大受影响
Ground 2.7 is where the final compression of ground is, and 2.7’s compression is so bad it impacts BR 6.3 tanks [Jumbo 76]. Jumbo 76 is 6.3 because Jumbo 75 is 5.7 which is 5.7 because KV-85 is 5.0 which is 5.0 because T-14 is 4.7 which is 4.7 because Churchill I is 4.0, which is 4.0 because… and the list goes on until 2.7 where Matilda and B1 Bis are ruined by M4 Shermans at 3.3 and 3.7.
KV-85 doesn’t have a major issue dealing with Tiger 1s BTW.
Leopard 1 lolpens Object 279 with HEATFS.
M1128 easily ammo-racks BMPT.
And the rest is air 13.0 compression which is easily fixed by 0.7 BR of decompression.
@七-十三 coming in to defend BR compression by making false accusations against the pro-decompression crowd.
The fact you claim BR decompression is anti-player proves how incorrect pro-compression arguers are.
@ZarathustraE
Yes, I am known for being pro-decompression and criticizing War Thunder.
gaijins balancing system is perfect, its just not used to make the game balanced, Its actually a tool designed to keep you frustrated, spending more money, more time, and grinding more, all while giving you zero actual long term happiness
it says the page is private but seeing his posts, i can easily believe you. I say just let him be and ignore cuz these people don’t care about a fruitful discussion, not even being right or wrong but they seek attention and replying usually satisfies them. Surely, we can have a relevant conversation about the topic at hand by simply ignoring these sorts of comments.
Sure.
First, look at how many br steps are in each spread.
Ex: 4.0, 4.3, 4.7, 5.0, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0. These are the steps that a 5.0 can face. A total of 7.
For 0.7 spread, remove the ends for a total of 5.
Next, looks at what brs will now be seen and no longer be seen after a br change. For the above example with a br increase, you wont see 4.0 but will see 6.3.
That changes 2/7 of the vehicles you will face. For 0.7, it changes 2/5.
This means that a br change in the current spread causes a 28.5% change in your mm while a 0.7 spread causes a 40% change.
And now you’re anti-decompression, sad.
The fact you now claim the pro-decompression crowd can’t give fruitful discussion proves decompression is necessary.
“People arguing for BR decompression are just attention seekers.”
WOW. Your true anti-decompression colors are showing now.
To reiterate:
I demand BR decompression.
It’s the easiest, fastest, and most superior method of balancing compressed BRs.
Such as 2.7 ground; that impacts 1.7 - 6.3.
9.3 air; that impacts 7.3 - 10.0.
13.0 air; that impacts 11.7 - 14.7.
This seems to be a general idea with whoever i have talked with.
This is a game and a game is supposed to be something that you enjoy. Surely, in any game a non pleasentaries could be found but War Thunder feels nowadays like an addiction more than a hobby. Grind the plane, then grind the modification with huge disadvantages. When are we enjoying anything?
Most importantly, how are people accepting this so easily?
bcs 99% of the people are dumb
This game is the prime example of “nobody in this world should be subjected to capitalism”. Russia and its citizen are the worst to be impacted by capitalism and war thunder is one of the worst example of it.
This makes a lot of sense actually. Perhaps they have capitalism AND the feel of being left behind and now trying to catch up on the greed that capitalism feeds off of.
one of gaijins CEOs is a self avowed leftist

gaijins leadership is cruel and doesnt want to offer a good service to its player base, they think the fact that war thunder even exists is a favor to us
thats why their only goal is to scam you and squeeze as much money out of you as possible without doing a single fucking thing
socially progressive fiscally conservative kind of people or leftist as in “the evil empire of united states will never see another sunset”? because the first one should’ve been purged by Stalin.
