Zulfiqar 3: The Shining Sword

+1. For US tree maybe? It has roots to M60

If this thing came from Shahist Iran, it would make 100% sense since they were used to be allies, but we’re talking about the modern IR Iran which have an “unfriendly” stance with the US, to say the least.

So, either it being added as independent tree (since Iran actually has enough high tier vehicles to make a tree out if it) or some sort of coalition tree would make the most sense.

A powerful and excellent tank
It will be great if it is added +1

Is the cupola detachable? One picture has cupola but the other one doesn’t.

It was a different model of the Zulfiqar 3. The one without cupola is a pre-serial production version.

The chassis of this tank is not at all similar to the M60 tank and is more similar to the Abrams than the M60.
On the other hand, since the technology used in the tank is mostly Russian, adding it to Russia is much better.
But because Iran has a lot of tanks and planes, it has a lot of potential to be added as a separate nation

Feels like a definition of a squadron vehicle that could be added to multiple trees or if not that then a premium. US since its basically a patton mostly , USSR because of the weapon system or a TT vehicle as a part of Iranian subtree into Israel for the lols and so we can just convert it into a middle eastern tree already and give it some variety .

While the idea of adding the Zulfiqar them as squadron vehicles for USA or USSR makes a relative amount of sense it definitely wouldn’t be a very bright idea to incorporate the Middle-East or Iran as an Israeli sub-tree.

I know this tank is more fitting in the USSR’s TT, but I would place in the USA’s TT between the M-60A3 TTS and M1A1 HC. As for it’s BR in RB, I would place it in the 9.3 to 10.3 range.

is it posted?

No, not yet. It’ll be a while still, but I hope to have it soon!

It’s always interesting to see Soviet-derived tanks that get Western equipment or at least Western design concepts blended into them.

+1 need more middle east :)

Did a few updates here and there but if people have corrections or more information or even just more sources, please share here. I’d like to clarify some more aspects of this elusive vehicle like optics, rounds, further history, capabilities, armor configuration (including add on armor like ERA), etc. Also if you have more images, feel free to share

This also applies to my other Iranian suggestion, the Makran IFV 👍
