I was wondering if it could fire modern rounds like that. Some had said the gun couldn’t withstand the higher pressures of DTC-10 but I never looked into it.

it can, there are not much change in gun. dtc-10 is 96A’s standard ammo, as there are not much old ammos left and most of the old ones are used as training ammo now.

Nice. Then yeah, I can definitely see this thing at 10.7 with DTC-10. Especially with the solid maneuverability, it only makes sense. Was this vehicle updated to fire GL-ATGM’s? From the suggestion, it says the FCS was updated but the poster wasn’t aware of where the source/claims are from.

Given the reverse gear, the 96B should play similar to Leopard 2A4/Abrams so I’d say put it at the same BR as them: 10.7

96B wouldn’t be too different in overall perfromance than 99a or vt4 though
Well, armour wise it is alot different to the VT4A1 and ZTZ99A/WZ1001…
If I was Gaijin, I would artifically nerf it by only giving it only Type 1985-I instead of DTC10-125 and add it as the same BR of the Leopard 2A4 or M1 Abrams.
That’s eggregiously uninformed on the specifications being spoken about here. The ztz96b is superior to the ztz99-ii and 99-iii. It would not be any lower than 11.0 in any manner of speaking.
The ztz96b is not some silly old school tank, this version can use a 1500 hp engine (most common listings seem to be 1200), a CH series transmission, modern thermals, LWS, and fy 4 ERA.
Your wishes do not make sense, it would be better than the t90A, mbt 2000, and ztz99-ii and 99-iii at minimum.
So, BR range of 11.3/11.7? Especially if it doesn’t receive any composite changes
I would assume either 11.0 or 11.3, specifically because the al khalid exists. It’s an ‘almost’ reprepsentation of what you could hope for from the ztz96b. New FCS on the 96B is what I’d assume will push it to 11.3 if anything does.
With a weaker round, it’s still straight up better than the T-80UD, which would put it at 11.0 minimum.
I don’t know where your information came from. At least the ZTZ96B engine horsepower as far as I know should be 1000hp. I guess the ZTZ96B in the game should only have changes on the engine and turret armor. So, obviously, he should be 10.7.
