Well the new 105mm APFSDS, which I can only think is for this tank has slightly more pen than DM53-120, which would be sufficient against most MBTs, since it’s not like ur gonna pen the turret or UFP of most tanks. That’s good enough.
From where the crew’s sat it’s pretty far back and without need of airdrop the front can almost all be armour.
Also with the gun there could be better depression.
Keep in mind, this is all preliminary and unverified for the moment. The information suggesting a 105mm with higher power than 120mm comes from a master’s thesis, can’t be directly linked to any gun in particular. We’ll know more as time passes.
Experiments are conducted in the paper, and we did have a couple of hints of ‘new 105mm apfsds’ which is why we linked those two up.

105mm is also more than enough for potential Enemies like RoC (Taiwan) only uses old Cold War Tanks like the CM11, M48, M60A3 and has just a few M1A2T which are worse than US own M1A2. India only uses T-72 and T-90s

on the contrary the M1A2T are the latest Abrams factory releases with very modern but Taiwan-specific equipment
The M1A2T is based on M1A2 SEP v2 and since it is an export variant it also has downgraded components like worse Armour and older electronics, the RoC also only possesses low quantities of them.
The USA isn’t giving out export Tanks with the same level of Armour, Ammo or electronics as their own used Tanks.

Yes as i said the M1A2 SEP v2 but it is worse than US own domestic variants. The export variants have downgraded Armour, use older electronics and an for export made APFSDS for example to name a few things. The USA also already uses the M1A2 SEP v3
its still an abrams. this ztz-201 is closer to a light tank than an mbt. in the terrain of taiwan the m1a2t has the significant advantage(ofc in the areas where its deployed).
no, it’s too heavy to go through most of the bridge, while as a mountainous area, most roads have bridge parts.

Still a T-80 massed tank. Even if it gets like 80% of T-80’s armour it will be significantly better than ABRAMS in the terrain.
its absolutely wont, where the abrams is deployed(EG: coastal and urban) i dont see how this can be better. also t80 massed tank, a tank of t80s mass would suck just as much as an abrams for taiwans terrain.
