This might be an interesting video about this new tonk.
As a side note; as no one has made any attempt to make a suggestion for either (ZTZ-100 / ZBD-100), I’ve made a suggestion for both vehicles of the Type 100 chassis recently, may take a little for approval though.
Besides armour values (I am aware of mentioned ones), I am surprised how much there could be find online.
The purpose of this thread is to facilitate the gathering of info on the Type 100 tank to make it easier for anyone willing to suggest the tank or make bug reports after its introduced. TBH there is not enough info out there to model the tank ingame for the moment.
Not entirely true, the 2s38 was added with nearly nothing known about it before it was even accepted into service and has just been updated a bunch.
It doesn´t depend on wether the system is in service or not just the amount of info available about it. For 2S38 we had a basic hull that was in service for about 3 decades and was widely known and a weapon station with a lot of promotional material giving out every metric needed to represent it ingame. Thats not the case yet for Type 100 though I suspect that during this year a lot more will be unveiled. Already having key data such as armor values do help a lot. But we are missing a lot others, for example how many shots it can carry and what its autoloader is actually like, for example.
That has never stopped Gaijin though. Much of Chinese equipment we know nothing about, Gaijin hasn’t bothered.
Update: Its been confirmed that the engine designation is HPD110. The engine is lighter and more compact than previous generation while providing the same power. Also its electricity generation capability is 88 kW/L. Its meant to power vehicles weighting even 40 tons.
Where do these pages come from?
From a presentation. Just surfaced publicly hours ago. Details are understandably scarce for the moment.
Slight correction, 88kW/L refers to the total power generation ability of the ICE, i.e. 118hp per liter, not the hybrid component, also, this is a series hybrid system
It’s possible that this is only a light tank, not an MBT.
New video of the ZTZ100, this tank, LZ164, took part in the September 3rd parade.
3 person crew? Since the guy closest to the camera is right next to the corner.
Yes, this had been confirmed but the shot provides definite proof.
We have some first look into Type 100 autoloader. The latter is of carrousel type (ie. not in the bustle), with the rounds arranged vertically. Current length for the depicted round is 1023 but there are 1100mm available (same as DTC02-105).

Yeah this looks a lot bigger than the ZTZ-100, Possibly 120,125 or even 130mm?
It don’t look nearly that big lol it has a thermal sleeve on
