Yugoslavia MUST BE an independent tech tree, IF added

Since it’s the only nation that can independently support all five trees on its own, yes.

India is already a sub nation of the UK, so that’s not possible.

I think what he’s trying to convey is if India can become a subtree of Yugoslavia instead of the UK since the addition of India to the UK TT is very controversial even among UK Mains due to the rampant Copy and paste

What happened, do you still think Yugoslavia will get added? Also what do you think of an Indian subtree for Yugoslavia? (search “Call of Mahabharata”)

Tbf India as a Yugoslav Subtree makes a little more sense than the UK since they were both founding members of the Non-Aligned Treaty but I personally don’t agree with it since there’s very few weapons of Yugoslav or Serbian origin that India operates, Bangladesh and Pakistan use just as much if not more weapons of Yugoslav/Serbian origin than India does

If Yugoslavia is going to get a subtree it should probably either be Libya and/or Iraq with the occasional Sub-Saharan African vehicles (Maybe Myanmar too) since Libya (as well as Myanmar) did use a sizeable amount of weapons of Yugoslav origin. That’s no big surprise since Yugoslavia’s main customers were Middle-Eastern and African nations

Its difficult to pinpoint a good subtree for Yugoslavia as a lot of nations used its equipment (Libya, Iraq, Vietnam, Angola etc) With non of this equipment really being any different to the base yugoslav equipment. It would make more sense for example for a few premium or squadron vehicles to be from these nations. That way atleast you could have the Iraqi Mig23s which were transferred to the RViPVO temporarily for avionics upgrades and had JNA livery on them or maybe the Libyan G2 Galebs

I’d love to see Yugoslav content in the game, if not as a new nation or subtree, at least some of its vehicles.

Hopefully independent, Yugoslavia+successors would have way too many vehicles to fit in a subtree

Yeah, it’s a wonder how Israel and Sweden got their own nations first before Yugoslavia, which was directly involved in the World Wars and later internal conflicts.

Yeah I still wonder how they added Israel but not nations like Turkey, Poland or Yugoslavia

I’m guessing that China was the real turning point as it had plenty of unique post war vehicles but few interwar and ww2 stuff (most of which is still missing) + technically unique vehicles as the main producer still lacks them (Gladiator MK1, Sd.Kfz.222, P-66, DB-3A etc) where Sweden and Israel followed suite.

My main guess is after Israel that the modern focus came in so nations that had more options during interwar/ww2/cold war were neglected or turned into subtrees, hopefully the Korean tree announcement is a sign for the better.

Unique Chinese airplanes did not get added except very vew (unique designs, variants and modifications)… It saddens me personally but it is how it is for now. Yugoslavia if added properly has a lot of unique designs but for Gaijin it is also very easy to do copy-paste.

Really does suck, iirc wasn’t there some localised mod/production of the I-15? Instead we got 1 to 1 USSR copies

USSR/USA/Germany, 80% chance of getting a new vehicle each time, while other small systems only 20%, the remaining 80% is copy and paste. Even if the Yugoslav line is added, it will not escape the same fate.

To be honest I could see that if a new nation got added, it would receive a bit more attention than the other minor nations for some updates, and then would also got the similar treatment

I wouldn’t mind starting a new tree either way, especially if it was Yugoslavia.

same here, just with Poland

Yes but where do they belong? Yugoslavia wasnt NATO or Warsaw pact so choosing a nation to host them is tricky a sub tree even more! If Yugoslavia gets added as a sub tree where would it sit?

I Agree on Yugoslavia being an independent tech tree but I feel it’s a bit of a random nation to add. Sure it has good tanks some original and some not but I think that more nations like Yugoslavia (who aren’t maybe as well known as USA or the USSR to new players) to balance this out. And this would make possibly too many nations. So I think despite the fact that Yugoslavia would be a very funky, Interesting yet fun main nation I feel that it would be integrated better into the game as a sub-nation with only the vehicles that are funky or as mentioned modded in a certain way.

Care to explain why?

Well it wasn’t a main driving force (or army ground or air) in either the axis or the allies in both world wars. It did take part in some wars in the aftermath (Such as the wars of independence for Slovenia and Croatia and the Bosnian and Kosovo wars) but my knowledge is slightly patchy about Yugoslavia so do educate me about them being more of a driving force in warfare if you can.

Neither were nations like Israel or Sweden.

I think I understand where your coming from with the historical aspect, but I don’t think Gaijin really cares about that anymore

That is not something for me to do sorry

That’s a very good point. I do suppose it’s more about the vehicles and enjoyment from the player base rather than actual nation involvement in major conflicts and size of military.
