Someone always thinks something is egregious, yet I never see people actually argue otherwise, they just flag it, supposedly, it’s abusing the system that supposedly cannot be abused.
The selection of posts that gets hidden is also very interesting.

I think so, it just gets shoveled under the same thing, because I have never seen a moderator action on this forum, despite them being all over the place on the old forum.

As RazerVon said, if you get your post hidden, re-edit it when you get the email. Even if you don’t change a word. That unhides it, then the blockers will probably hide you again no matter what you say, but that second hide throws the decision to moderation, and gives them the choice to reject the block. If they don’t agree with the hiders that post comes back for good and can never be hidden again except by mods themselves. If they agree/do nothing the twice-hidden post is deleted in 30 days.
So far I’ve appealed and won over the blockers on six posts doing the above, just by saying in-post I did not understand why an on-topic post that was not against ToS was being blocked.

Moderators don’t care, none of my posts that I edited and got blocked have been reviewed or reviewed positively by moderators.
And quite frankly I don’t care enough to post something, have it be blocked, edit it, have it be blocked again, then rely on WT moderators who may or may not at some point this month review it, argue in my favor just so my post can stay up.
The system is clearly just being abused.
I made a post about how people should just disagree and not flag everything, got hidden, edited it, got hidden again, got reviewed by a moderator who deleted it.
And then my account gets locked for a week out of nowhere and no one can tell me why.

We didn’t have flagging system in the old forum. Which meant the mods had to be more active. It seems they’re largely letting the community self-moderate with the new system. As mentioned in the update forum rules.
Self moderation is a horrible idea, clearly there are way to many people abusing the system, it’s just lazy, nothing about this is an improvement.
Moderators bending the rules and using a very open interpretation of the rules was bad enough, now we have every one and their mom ‘moderating’ on top of that, just hiding anything they disagree with.
And either moderators stopped moderating entirely, or their actions are hidden under community flags.

What rules are being broken? Majority of hidden posts are entirely fine and still get flagged.
Beyond me why you’d go out of your way to moderate on behalf of Gaijin for free anyways.

Challenging moderation and politics
This is even worse as to how stupid this move was to swap to this new forum… If this was a lot clearer in the first place then maybe thew abusers wouldn’t have got such a hold.

If people kept posts on topic or acted coridally then posts wouldnt get flagged. If your posts keep getting flagged prehaps you need to change how you are posting things

Funny how upvotes aren’t counted but a few petty souls can get your post hidden even if it has 10 upvotes.

Damn I really do hope they ban people and remove the feature as this nonsense and malicious methodology, should’ve been thought of before it was implemented.
I’m gonna keep bumping this, as this should’ve been dealt with on day one, literally…
It’s dumb that it’s able to be abused so seriously, and consistently, without actually being countered and disabled…
If all your posts are PG then there’s nothing valid to report for inappropriate.
