It kinda makes sense that you can, although I think they should make the chance of the bomb exploding decrease.

it depends

with modern planes and bombs since the bombs have built in safties, so that they are only primed after being dropped

but if your bombs are getting hit with something like an APHE round that might be enough energy to set off the explosives in the bombs regardless

and with something like Napalm it is more or less garunteed that a round hitting it will set it on fire

a 7.62 one shotting them is ridiculous. but larger rounds actually hitting the fuse, sure

It’s a pretty dumb mechanic only added so SPAA could intercept munitions, of course it was added in the worst way possible…

I dont think they should explode under most circumstances, but I think having all weapons being damagable on the airframe, where at best, they just become disabled, at worse, physically knocked off the airframe would be quite interesting.

Also things like CM pods, Target pods, etc should also be damagable parts

i think that TGPs are a damageable part on the aircraft that recived the updated damage models

I know a few aircraft like I think the German Typhoon have a damage model for the Tpod, but none of the others do. Like the British Typhoon does not.

the Su-30SM for example has it as well, but the avionics block is bigger than the TGP itself

We’ll have to wait and see then if this actually becomes a thing, or is just errant features that shouldnt be there

Probably, though the German Typhoon is the one they always use to test things on the dev server, so it might just be the same thing again

I mean, its ok, realistic, since in real life the same thing will happen but not at a total annhiliation degree SOMETIMES NOT ALWAYS.

There is that, Hitting a B-52 with a Red Top and watching a small nuke go off is definetly satisfying

I was not expecting it to be that loud XD, but I would argue that because of the safety it would be a 50 chance that the bomb actually explodes
