It currently sits right before Iowa;
But the game will leave a 30 day period after the Major Update to unlock the Iowa!

I wish SoDak had the more advanced super heavy AP. Then again, the more advanced shells had improved penetration from metallurgy improvements, something the calculator doesnt factor in.
Hopefully she keeps the two stage ammo compartments like Iowa to improve survivability!

I believe Mk.8 Mod 0 and Mod 6 are basically the same ingame!
The 90mm pen difference is basically a product of the 2,03m difference in length of the barrels, and therefore 61 m/s difference in muzzle speed.

Is it possible to get the devs to change the placement of South Dakota?
I’m not too fond of her coming before Iowa. I imagined the USN lines to end like this:
Colorado → South Dakota (1920) → South Dakota
Tennessee → Iowa → Wisconsin/Missouri
Alaska → Lexington → North Carolina.
This way all 3 lines get to have their own flavour in terms of the gameplay style they offer.
