XM-1 Chrysler for PC gamers

Hi! Most players are aware that the XM-1 Chrysler tank used to be exclusive to Xbox players, while the XM-1 GM was available only on PC at least until recently, unless I missed something.

I’ve noticed that Xbox players can now purchase the XM-1 Chrysler bundle, and they also have the option to buy the XM-1 GM with Golden Eagles. Meanwhile, PC players can no longer purchase the XM-1 Chrysler with Golden Eagles.

It would be great if this worked both ways.

I absolutely agree, lets start with the marketplace first

On the topic: why is this thing still 9.0 when the GM is 9.3? I’d argue its armor is much better, and it also has a better hp/t than the GM, though is ever so slightly slower in terms of speed and turret traverse speed. It also has the same rounds, reload, and has the same LRF and thermals. So why is it lower in battle rating? I don’t feel like the few parts where it is worse outweigh it being similar to the GM, and its arguably superior armor (mostly on the turret thickness-wise, but its hull is better angled as well).

I can’t imagine brand new players on Xbox at what was then top tier generating good statistics

Heck yeah, I would love to get my hands on one of these, I’ve heard they’re pretty good so my massive skill issue should be somewhat negated.

I know everything you wrote. What I meant was that since the XM-1 GM became available on Xbox, I haven’t seen any news about it—even though that vehicle was supposed to be exclusive to PC and PS4 players, as you mentioned. Xbox players can now purchase both the XM-1 GM and the XM-1 Chrysler. So it would be great if PC players also had the option to buy the XM-1 Chrysler, just like Xbox players can buy the XM-1 GM.

XM-1 Chrysler is Xbox Exclusive so there’s a binding agreement with Microsoft to keep it that way while the GM wasn’t an exclusive in any way.

Go complain at sony and microsoft for this one

Inb4 “but theyre not at fault gaijin is”

from what I remember it’s an objectively worse tank, it’s slower, has slower turret traverse, while it technically has thicker armour on the turret cheeks it doesn’t go all the way up and has a much larger weak spot around the gun shield and it has worse armour on the LFP except for 1 thin strip.
The GM also has basic hydropneumatic suspension, but it can only go up and down, no tilt control.

There are better, more reliable options.

XM is basically a light tank with little to no armour, not even turret armor and one of the weakest darts.

It’s very fast, looks cool but dependent on maps.

When I played it the USSR 10.3 was crazy good so maybe now it’s easier since they went up with 2S38 and T-80UD.

An article about the XM-1 stated that the XM-1 GM would be available on PC and PS4, while the XM-1 Chrysler would be available on Xbox. As you can see, things have changed Xbox players can now purchase both the XM-1 Chrysler and the XM-1 GM, while PC players (I’m not sure about PS4) can only purchase the XM-1 GM.

“The XM-1 (GM) version will be available to PC and PS4 users, and the XM-1 (C) version will be exclusive to Xbox One, a new platform for War Thunder.”

I understand that. The difference is the GM isn’t an exclusive and it’s been 7 years since the release so I suppose they just decided to give it the Xbox. Maybe the Chrysler agreement will expire? Idk

They are the only reason that accounts made on consoles are essentially locked to consoles and why you can’t access the marketplace
