I hope this is true, I will riot if the JH-7A2 becomes a premium aircraft
this should be early JH-7 with no guided munitions or PL-8, base bombing grind option much like premium tornado IDS
US getting F-15C and china getting a JH-7 premium. Prob another update without an chinese aircraft at “top toptier”

A premium JH-7 would be a hard thing to recommend, the JH-7A was buns in ARB even before they flooded the BR with premium Hornets.

Honestly I wish they would fill the 10.0-10.3 hole with something like the improved J-7II variants, it’s not particularly exiting having to grind 300,000 rp to get an actual good aircraft that can defend itself or at least kill things and only have available vehicles that are defenseless and lack good missiles and 2 overtiered attack aircraft that are half baked years after being introduced, also if the leak list is to be believed it would be insanely stupid adding another PREMIUM aircraft when last update was a you guessed it another premium aircraft!

the problem is JH-7‘s top speed is not so high, and 2 missile is not so useful, so it may ended a plane can’t do both base bombing or A2A well
I mean, if they chuck it to sth like 10.7/11.0 with 2/4 PL-5Bs that we be fine. Although I guess that defeats the entire point of it to fill in the gap at 12.xx.

DOA basically…the only thing I can think that can make a difference is the BR where they would place it at if they removed the missiles maybe they can send it to 10.7 or something stupid like that I don’t see why would you buy it over the J-7D but hey hopefully this leak is not true
If it had IRCCM missiles maybe the JH-7s would have something going for them at 12.0+ like the Tornado GR.4 does. Otherwise the 12.0-12.7 gap really should be filled by a J-8H/J-10 Early with Aspides, and I’d also be annoyed if either ended up a premium.
I mean the jh7 can carry irccm missiles, gaijin just doesn’t want to give it them which is fair. It would propel the br to 12.7
Not necessarily, I mean we do have a mig21 and a m2k at 12.7 with irccm + hms. Just PL5EII would be fine at 12.3.

I’d take 12.7 with IRCCM (PL-5EII+PL-8B), it doesn’t really have a lot going for it with it’s current BR and loadout.
edit: would also be a boon for it’s GRB presence, since it’s completely obsolete next to the J-11B but that’s another arguement for another time.
With all the issues it has that “fix” sounds more like an insult IMO

So they finally give it the ability to carry 4 AGMs hopefully they do add anti ship missile or the KD-88, the JH-7A hasn’t been relevant lately
The Q5 can carry an earlier version of this missile

The YJ-81/82/83 is also call for export C-801/C-802/C-803
In the gaijin files, they decided to add the YJ-81 (C-801) anti-ship missile fired from an aircraft, but there is the YJ-83 (C-802) version, which was a version fired from a boat, improved to become a sub-version, the CM-802 AKG model, which is an anti-tank missile fired from an aircraft. Later, China made a version entirely dedicated to the C-803, which also bore the old name “YJ-83.” Later, the C-803 evolved further to become the KD-88.
with the implementation of the YJ-81 (C-801) gaijin to also implement the anti-tank version CM-802 AKG on the JF 17 and the KD-88 (same missile family) on the JH-7A

This would be perfect to start expanding the Chinese national AGMs while waiting for the smaller AGMs like the C-701 and C-704, a report which was validated more than a year ago !
