Wyvern S. 4 Problem

This plane should be moved to 6.0, is one of the fastest propeler planes with 4x20mm with 1200 rounds.

It can load bombs and always has a Striker Spawn. By that is one of the strongest that really does not fit at 4.7.

The Wyvern S.4 causes problems because it can position itself with a time advantage due to its Striker Spawn Point being closer to the mid-zone of the map. This consequently affects the Long Range Bombers, which are already slow, barely reaching 300 km/h. They tend to take everything because there isn’t just one Wyvern per match; there are always three to five Wyverns, as it’s a premium aircraft that has too much of an advantage in a Battle Rating that’s too low for its capabilities.

its max speed in straight line is about 660 km/h, pretty similar to fighters on BR 5.7 - 6.0 and practicalle twice as fast than most strikers like Il-10, AD-2/4, AM-1, Me 410, etc…

It is a striker in the end so it is normal it cannot excel in maneuverability.

Never seen a Wyvern been outspeeded by fighters on its own BR, everytime I see a Wyvern die is because they were shot down in a head-on or was very distracted by not seeing a pilot doing a “boom and zoom” in a bf 109 above him.

statcards lie. Its actually about 610 in practice.

pretty similar to fighters of 4.7 because of the realistic speed stated earlier

Ive played them a lot pre and post drag nerf and without its extra 400ps of power its never gonna escape the mustangs or even spitfires a lot of the time

I test it on Test Drive, I reached 662 km/h it sustained the energy without losing it.

Hmmm… I’m currently playing french 4.0 - 6.0 and most of the time there are always like 2 to 5 Wyverns in each team, I’ve played with the Hellcat, VB, P-63, Seafire.

And by experience I cannot out speed Wyverns if I didn’t dive earlier to engage him, they always run away cause faster acceleration and max speed unless he is too dumb to do an attempt of a dogfight but most Wyvern pilots just bomb and run.

So I’m not sure about your statement about spitfires can out speed them or earlier variants of Mustangs can get Wyverns without gaining speed by diving.

about 5 months ago. Never hits its actual top speed anymore.

of course it deserved it, the sheer amount of winrate, SL and battles should have raised the alarm.
But most wyvern players are just braindead and don’t abuse it.

Around event times is when the Wyvern hordes start appearing again and make that br range completely insufferable to play in. It’s either people who just suicide rush bases with 0 brain activity, the tiny minority that play it as an air spawn fighter and nukes 1/3 of the opposing team in under 3 minutes, or the ones that abuse their speed + forward spawn to completely shift the tickets into a near unwinnable position and then airfield camp until the end of the game.

It’s actually crazy how the Wyvern’s “equivalents” are planes like the AD-4 yet it is undeniably superior while being 1.3 br lower.

I hate wyverns, no plane manages to upset me even when it is on my team

Understendable.
What hit Wyvern the most is that now on like 60% of games everybody gets an airspawn, so Wyvern gest casually outclimbed by opponents.
And by opponents I mean mostly Soviets. :D

Anyway, plywood bug 2.0 + Shvak being hammer of god surely doesn’t help.

So Wyvern is nowhere near as deadly as it used to be. At 5km it’s no longer fast. It’s big. It has 50% HE belt at best, firing at planes that don’t fuse HE and Gaijin is refusing to fix it.

So, if it makes you feel better even a tiny bit, playing Wyvern is no longer fun. Not fun at all actually. So there’s that.
