My friend’s game became abnormally laggy and almost impossible to play after updating Win11 on his computer, and only WT experienced this problem. We cannot find where the problem lies

Did last major update break LoD levels and mipmapping. It feels like game is giving me wrong stuff. I found it most apparent in cockpit of He112 B0 where if you put your head way back you can see lines going out of sight to left and right and when you rotate your heat at some angle you shouls barely be able to see sight it turns normal.
It seems to me like trees in ground mode also got some issues where they begin to render full quality model only when i get like 20m to them.

No they don’t.
Either you have grass that ruins immersion [max settings] or you have realistically short grass and people that like long grass hate it.
I hate unrealistically long wild grass.
ULQ is a handicap anyway.
If people want to have a harder time spotting targets in ground battles, more power to them.
Grass gets long if you dont mow it, who is mowing the grass in the squad universe before every match?
No one’s mowing wild grass.
That’s not a shadow problem, that’s an Unreal 5 problem. Unreal 5 has random frame drops for no reason on every single fucking game running on it. Doesn’t matter how weak the graphics requirements are. Solution is to punch Tim Sweeney in the nuts.
What needs to be made better:
- Puddles on the abandoned factory map are like glass. They don’t move when driven over
- Glass from buildings doesn’t break when you shoot a HE round from a 105 mm cannon straight at it from point blank range
- Objects like cars, trees and bushes are too easy to break and then sink into the ground
This is all I can think of at the moment. Tell me if you can think of any more.
There are games that run like butter on unreal 5, I think its more of a dev problem than the engine or at least its not all on the engine being bad.
I feel like the exhaust effects need to be reworked, e.g engine starting effects, engine revving.

Yeah, exhaust effects in WT are quite basic, different types of engines produce different color smoke. GHPC has some amazing exhaust smoke plumes. WT lacks the blue-ish or gray color of some engines and needs more transparency.
Vehicles like the PSO have down guards exhaust pipes that should help it be more stealthy and reduce heat signature.
Please pass it along that once again we are getting massive fps spikes and drops in the game engine since the update. I’m on Medium-Low graphics and can’t even keep up steady 60fps, it spikes down to 45fps.
Game engine needs update on package or something in server side?

Will Dagor eventually evolve in the future or is this its peak ? Optimization is great but we are far away in graphics quality for example with how lights shade and reflects on metal objects or how smoke is modelled as right now most of the effects are pngs, and i know that some people aren’t as lucky in hardware as others but the game gives you the option to play with both potato and film settings, so that i could choose to see or not to see those effects .
Can we expect the game to have in the future the same quality as like a triple A game or DCS ?
That’s because they are. Recently the maps have been slowly getting updated but if you actually go on an aircraft you can see how it was only the square tank map that was updated and it looks very out of place with the rest of the surroundings. The map graphics updates also don’t fix the inherent issues with them in the modern day. Back when these maps were added there was only arcade mode. They really need to do a whole revamp, not just this bandaid fix that’s going on.
