Iran has strange history of tanks Like t 38 and shermans it would be a fun nation(mostly copy and paste) but at the high tier we could see some kind of strange combinations of tanks that can be fun in the game like BTR 80 chasse with the Sherman turret and 90mm cannon we called Aqarab and other tanks like Karrar and ect but they would be good at mid tier not high tier but gaijin can combine middle east army like iraq turkey and ect that would make a good ground force and air force for the Iran nation to war thunder…
No.
why?
A whole copy paste tree would be a useless addition
Yeah, we already have China for that, and we know gaijin loves their copy paste
Iran has a number of neat doohickeys but has the issue of most nations of lacking enough domestic low br and aircraft to have a independent tree. It could work as part of a regional tree or as a subtree.
In same sentence somehow

How would they even aim the recoilless rifle? It seems to be able to only move up down? or is the front windshield foldable?
i personally dont have any issue with c&p trees however there are standards that must be met, ignoring the contention of captured vehicles, i feel that vehicles of one family already been researched in one tree should give massive research and purchasing discounts on the vehicle that is c&p in another tree
foldable
would be so funny in war thunder like absolutely no protection
iran aint the only one feilding such doohickies
Could you enlighten with more doohickeys?

A Pakistani Willys Jeep M38A1 with a 106mm recoilless rifle, similar to the iranian one, the front windscreen must be folded to aim.
it can be folded but it is mostly like strv101
petition to add this?
I take back what I said about Irish vehicle modifications
Dear Gaijin Entertainment team,
I am a long-time War Thunder player and would like to respectfully suggest the addition of Iran as a playable nation (or at least a substantial subtree).
Iran has a rich and unique military history with a mix of Western, Eastern, and indigenous equipment that would fit well into War Thunder’s vehicle combat focus. Israel was successfully added despite a heavy reliance on copy-paste vehicles in ranks IV–VII (with unique top-tier content). Iran can follow a similar approach while offering several distinctive vehicles and loadouts that are not currently represented.
Key points in favor of inclusion:
- Unique high-tier content: Iranian F-14A Tomcats with domestic missiles (Fakour-90, Sedjil), upgraded Phantoms (F-4E), indigenous fighters (Azarakhsh, Saeqeh, Kowsar), and modern SAMs (Bavar-373, 15th Khordad, Raad family, Tor-M1, etc.).
- Ground forces: Mix of upgraded Western tanks (Chieftain/Shir, M60 Samsam, M47 Tiam/Sabalan), licensed/Soviet vehicles (T-72S, BMP-2 with Dehlavieh ATGMs), and indigenous designs (Zulfiqar family, Karrar MBT, Tosan light tank, various ATGM carriers and technicals).
- Air defense and missiles: Strong indigenous SAM and ATGM programs (Toophan family, Dehlavieh/Kornet copy, Almas, etc.) plus ballistic/rocket systems that could support future content.
- Iran already operates vehicles that exist in the game in modified form, so implementation cost for lower/mid tiers would be relatively low (similar to Israel), while higher tiers provide genuine uniqueness.
Iran has an active player community and a long military aviation and armored history that would add interesting gameplay variety, especially with mixed Western/Eastern weapon loadouts on the same airframes.
Useful open sources for research (Iranian military equipment):
-
Air defense systems in Iran: سامانه های پدافند موجود در ایران

Tanks in Iranian service: http://jangaavaran.ir/تانک-های-موجود-در-نیروی-های-مسلح-جمهوری/
Additional neutral references (Wikipedia / Oryx / GlobalSecurity) also document the mix of indigenous upgrades and imported systems.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. Iran would bring interesting mixed-tech gameplay and help represent another major regional military power in the game.
Best regards,Dr_Predator
