Just a random question because I wanted to hear other people’s thoughts on it. Now I know it’s stupid but my friend mentioned it randomly and it got me genuinely thinking, because I have been noticing a lot of people pick up china, and for good reason, because it seems like a great nation, but I was just wondering if anybody thought it may be considered overpowered in any way.
Anyways the things my friend mentioned were competitive top tier aircraft(J-11, J-10, wildly stupid BR SU-30, F-16V, and the J-15, though I’m not sure bout the last one). But mainly the ground tree he mentioned as it kinda has the best of both worlds in terms of vehicles. It has great Soviet vehicles throughout lower BRs(T-34, IS-2), and the Taiwanese stuff gives it some strong American vehicles throughout the tree as well(M44, M18, M1 Abrams). And in top tier the actual Chinese vehicles seems incredible. Good ERA, good penning rounds, and auto loaders make the tanks seem pretty enjoyable(of course I haven’t personally played the Nation much, so I can’t speak from personal experience outside of facing these vehicles).
I personally don’t think any of this makes the nation overpowered, especially with a tech tree as small as it is, but it’s no doubt competitive. Just was wondering what the general player base thinks.
Agreed. Pretty much my friend’s whole point was that it has American and Russian vehicles. Which is pretty funny for him to say considering he plays Italy and is totally fine with Sweden.

Despite the under-BR’d nature of a chunk of Chinese tanks, that’s pretty much the same thing that Germany & USA have as well.

Nah. It’s like a mix of USA and Russia while not excelling at either model.
My main complaints:
6.7s reload of their 11.7+ MBTs, losing to almost every top tier reload (good thing they added the abrams though but I already have USA), while not having the armor of T80s.
PL12s have been nerfed terribly. J15T has 48 CMs.
Though the bug report on the PL12s have been accepted and I hope it’s good.
The SU30MKK is pretty overpowered though yea. But I guess they want the large population to cash in a premium for a mediocre tech tree.
False, the ERA constantly deflects “tandem” missiles. Quite useless against darts, that would be true. 96A’s ERA is clearly better but covers way less and doesn’t actually compensate for the godawful armor, if it didn’t have thermals it would be a 9.7 tank.

F-16V is mediocre as fuck, slightly worse than the PooBIT in the US tree (6 missiles Max at 14.3? That aint it chief)
J-15T has 48 countermeasures at 14.7, need I say more
Only actual good aircraft china has at top tier (13.0+) are J-11, J-11A, Su-30MKK, MICA mirage and J-10A

Their “home-built” tanks are mediocre at top tier, with the Abrams being the only good one
For SPAA the CSA5 is just a Pantsir S1 sidegrade (maybe downgrade) and the HQ-11 is mid simply because it’s an ARH SAM
Maybe the only thing chinese that could be considered op other then their playerbase lol are their helicopters as the a2a missiles are decent and their atgms are just as good
No, they have some solid line ups, and some under BR’s content (like every tree) but nothing systemic, and most stuff is just vehicles whose performance metrics are dragged down by big-three players
Ion top of that, China has some of the same issues as smaller trees, where it has obvious gaps that have existed for years, where domestic options could easily address the issue or gap, but still haven’t been added
~9.0 is there and there but yeah Chinese 8.0 might be one of the strongest lineups in the entire game.
Mostly a compression issue that could be fixed very easily, but the devs don’t seem to care, so for years we have had T54s with stabilisers at the same BR with T54s without them.
i mean in ground its just russia but better so it kinda has 2nd hand russian bias and in air other than the SU-30 premium i dont think they are that busted
