Just a random question because I wanted to hear other people’s thoughts on it. Now I know it’s stupid but my friend mentioned it randomly and it got me genuinely thinking, because I have been noticing a lot of people pick up china, and for good reason, because it seems like a great nation, but I was just wondering if anybody thought it may be considered overpowered in any way.
Anyways the things my friend mentioned were competitive top tier aircraft(J-11, J-10, wildly stupid BR SU-30, F-16V, and the J-15, though I’m not sure bout the last one). But mainly the ground tree he mentioned as it kinda has the best of both worlds in terms of vehicles. It has great Soviet vehicles throughout lower BRs(T-34, IS-2), and the Taiwanese stuff gives it some strong American vehicles throughout the tree as well(M44, M18, M1 Abrams). And in top tier the actual Chinese vehicles seems incredible. Good ERA, good penning rounds, and auto loaders make the tanks seem pretty enjoyable(of course I haven’t personally played the Nation much, so I can’t speak from personal experience outside of facing these vehicles).
I personally don’t think any of this makes the nation overpowered, especially with a tech tree as small as it is, but it’s no doubt competitive. Just was wondering what the general player base thinks.
Any “chinese bias” either comes from mechanics (LDIRCM helis) or vehicles not unique to the china (premium Su-30).
Id be hard pressed to remember whenever someone called for example ZTZs OP lol.

Agreed. Pretty much my friend’s whole point was that it has American and Russian vehicles. Which is pretty funny for him to say considering he plays Italy and is totally fine with Sweden.

Despite the under-BR’d nature of a chunk of Chinese tanks, that’s pretty much the same thing that Germany & USA have as well.
ZTZ96’s equivalents in other tech trees are 9.7 - 10.0.
& ZTZ96A’s equivalents in other tech trees are 10.7.

Nah. It’s like a mix of USA and Russia while not excelling at either model.
My main complaints:
- 6.7s reload of their 11.7+ MBTs, losing to almost every top tier reload (good thing they added the abrams though but I already have USA), while not having the armor of T80s.
- PL12s have been nerfed terribly. J15T has 48 CMs.
Though the bug report on the PL12s have been accepted and I hope it’s good.
The SU30MKK is pretty overpowered though yea. But I guess they want the large population to cash in a premium for a mediocre tech tree.

Seems to me that T72 is at 9.3.
And T72 with ERA is at 10.3.

T-72 uses a worse round.
T-72 ERA does nothing, & the round is worse.
If you’re for removing the top rounds from the ZTZ-96s… I guess you can compare them.
Marginal difference, and even smaller with T72B.
False, the ERA constantly deflects “tandem” missiles. Quite useless against darts, that would be true. 96A’s ERA is clearly better but covers way less and doesn’t actually compensate for the godawful armor, if it didn’t have thermals it would be a 9.7 tank.

Kontakt 1 does not deflect tandem missiles.
And no, DM33 & 3BM60 equivalent rounds are not “marginally” better than 3BM22 & 3BM42.
