Well usually they aren’t intended to be played as snipers, if you manage a good enough flank, you can reach the weaker side armor of stuff while simultaneously staying safe from return fire in the process; it’s a pretty basic concept as far as light vehicle gameplay goes.
True but its a risk and to be honest a bit of fun if you are bored.I am just saying that Gaijin will throw any vehicle into the fray for the hell of it and in many occasions the out come is exactly what you would expect in reality.A lot of Bradley’s got lost in reality. They gained respect from troops who thanked God they weren’t walking and that is about it.
I think some players expect too much from certain vehicles especially now the maps are becoming narrow and with great zones marked off limits in a way that you don’t know until you get there, then you realise your sniping spot is gone and you are left holding the baby in a useless lightweight.
Some vehicles are a big gamble but sure often a fun gamble but don’t complain in the very likely event of it going belly up.
Fair take, when they work they work pretty well, as you don’t have to worry about such things as volumetric, but generally the map design has gotten more cramped and confined over the years, which diminish these “fault-proof” traits of having an automatic cannon.
Personally I think I’d still like to see some larger autocannons (50mm, 57mm, 40mm) in addition to fixes to the ones we already have. The map design issue is a different one entirely that can affect vehicles of all classes, not just flankers.
Today I tried to play with Bradley, its autocannon is not capable of harming even light armored vehicles. I just shoot and the modules turn yellow. They weakened Bradley so much that now he can’t even penetrate an infantry fighting vehicle.
Yes, a large box that detonates from any hit.
As they did in reality and too often. Also in reality those auto cannons did some damage to the M1s in friendly fire situations but is that enough to get multi kills in the game? I am struggling to get kills now in anything other that most armoured of vehicles.I played a few games on a friends PC and up the BR levels its even harder of course. Its about being seen and taking damage if you can instead of playing clever ,hiding and moving. No space for that and little cover.
There seems to be no hiding places anymore. They are squeezing the fun out of the game from every possible angle
