Listen, I have a good idea. How about you record another video where you simply drive through the town area of the Tunisia map? Here, I can even draw the route for you.
Here’s a video so you don’t get it wrong

Here’s a video so you don’t get it wrong

Players for the past decade: Gib regenerative steering nao!!!11!!1!!
Gaijin after the past decade: Dunno, should we add it?
CC is bound by default in the game (E/Q) and in your video you used none of it during actual turns. You can see here how Leopard 2 performs on CC1. Might’ve made your comparison more credible.
Frankly one the biggest problems people might have with it, being unable to turn hard at speed, might be solvable if the left/right brake controls work, atm they just stop the tank entirely
I think it needs adjustment and fixing of some bugs, and should be added to other vehicle families on the dev server (Challenger 2 in particular), but nonetheless it absolutely should be added.
Toggleable doesn’t make sense. We just need an easier way to make hard brakes at high speeds (if that is indeed a realistic option), whether it’s improved keybinds or sth else.
What used to be simple and convenient will now force players to manually shift gears.
Why should I make controlling the vehicle harder for myself?
By the way, do you want to take part in an experiment?
??? Noone is telling you to shift gears manually. Cruise Control is not manual gearbox
With regenerative Steering implemented gaijin should remove the stabilizer feature that overrides turret rotation speed.
Especially the later t series can throw the hull 180°/s but keep the turret steady pointed at the same bearing. Fixing this longstanding bug (“feature”) would bring a more realistic enviroment to war thunder as both slow turning regenerative steering and break steering tanks would have this restriction making snapping around much more difficult

“будем решать её судьбу, вводить - не вводить, вводить в каком то режиме сложности…”
“we will decide it’s fate, introduce - not introduce, introduce in some difficulty mode…”
My best assumption is difficulty modes like for plane controls.
You’re literally suggesting that I micromanage gear shifting instead of just playing and enjoying the game.
As you can see, it’s different from what you said.
Can you please edit your post then. What you said earlier can be misleading and was not confirmed yet.
Thanks!
I’ve had a look at it and I don’t think it looks very good either. But I agree with some of the other comments — keep it in the game, just give us an On/Off toggle.
Some people will probably like it, while others won’t, so giving players the choice seems like the best option.
🙏 Bless The Holy Snail 🐌
its more of a in terms of difficulty mode in a sense how we get dif horsepower on dif vehicles in dif modes, in other words either everyone being locked to it or no one getting it in the said mode
Yeah, I would have no complaints if it were like this.
Well, this is up for interpritation. It makes sense to introduce different controle modes for tanks like we already have with planes. With simpler and more advanced options. Also this will allow to switch between two with button like you can on planes.
Its not that hard to just let go of the accelerator and push the E button once while you turn. You are making it sound like its some major problem when it isnt. Its as simple if not simplier than putting flaps in “combat mode” during dogfight or specific maneuvers.
People do not play this game because they absolutely hate how the core mechanics feel/behave. They play it exactly because they like these things, or at the very least, prefer them over those offered by alternatives.
We could change the aiming system to a joystick-like one, since that’s more realistic and some people prefer it. Yet most people will prefer the system they’re used to over it and that can’t be changed, no matter how much anyone would prefer the other one.
This is the exact same case here.
If they arent willing to make both systems coexist at once, then the new system should not be added.
This is not some random feature everyone will forget about in a couple of days, this is literally what makes WT Ground gameplay feel like WT Ground gameplay.
It’s honestly baffling to me how people in favour of the new system are so incapable of understanding that others do not want it whatsoever.
Literally like:
“See that game-experience you enjoy? How bout we fundamentally change that to something completely different because I prefer that. Also please dont say you are against it because uuh its actually really good and you should just adapt to what I want and ignore your preferences! Also go play a different mode if you dont like how I want your favorite one changed”
If this is the basis on how this feedback run will go then it’s just pointless from the getgo. Fact is that the new system still needs drastic/fundamental improvements to become acceptable and that there should be absolutely no replacement of any sort of the old system.
If the old-system is, in any way shape or form, removed, adjusted or replaced, then the addition of the new system will do more harm than good and should not be implemented whatsover.
Why don’t you show how this actually works in practice? Here is a route for you to drive through. Record a video and show it to everyone on the forum.Just make sure to use a Leopard 2 for this, not a Type 10 with its oversteer.
And for me it’s baffling how people who against it are completely incapable of accepting the proposal of it being togglable.
