No worries, you already did more than enough!
Why. They updated atgm physics, they update aa-missiles rn on the dev, what is so special about aphe that it can’t be updated to more realistic approach?
magical one shot round.
I just don’t get it, its another part of updates they are doing for years, where they implement new and new cool and more accurate features instead of placeholders.
I thought HE rounds are magical one-shot rounds, huh.
I posted a few videos on Reddit, even the Scimitar comparison, and people liked them. It’s not much but it’s honest work haha Their devblog was absolutely horrible…
Still my proudest and favourite comparison
This video honestly deserves to be spread around even more.
I could post it on Reddit, hopefully they are not tired of me yet lol Do you have anything I should add to the post? If I remember this was a lower hp engine?
Afaik the dev server is open until the 12th now
My only hope is that so far everywhere I looked (Reddit, Twitter, Steam forums or even the devblog itself) to me it seemed like people supporting it are the overwhelming majority.
But yeah I really hope this gets implemented, in the last ~3 days I’ve tried like 80 vehicles with regen steering on the dev server. I’m not sure how I can go back to Live now lol
I do agree that the majority support it, however, a lot of people who support it also want it as a toggle which I’m not even sure that gaijin would agree too.
Also, the people who are against it have been very vocal, which can go a long way.
I think BVVD said on the Russian stream that they can implement it as an alternative handling option or something like that. Like how you have different ones for planes.
I feel like people supporting it have been way more vocal but it might be just hopium haha
He said it can be implemented to specific gamemodes. I would vote for a toggleable option for AB and forced option for RB and SB.
Rewatched rn: “… what we will do, will we add it, not add it, add in a specific difficulty…”
Well hopefully that means GRB and not Sim only…
Issue with APHE nerf was that tanks with good armour and (almost) only weakspot being cupola would be borderline broken. Tho I think they should have applied APHE nerf to arial/autocannon shells to prevent Gepards and alike from onetapping MBTs in the most random of places.
Move them up BR, flank them, especially with new differential steering thing, introduce infantry to ifv/apc vehicles that can go throw grenades at that big tiger II, idk, many options…
Definitely not a solution. Moving up in BR devalues armour - literaly the signature of heavy tanks. just look at Jumbos, in uptier those things are just sad, slow with now no armour and sewerly undergunned.
That works for light tanks but what about medium tanks many of which may not be THAT faster than heavies and still forced to face them head-on? Same goes for map design, especially in last years when Gaijin actively reduces map sizes and cuts flank options. Even older maps may be a mojor issue - Normandy, basically 0 flanking options aside on in the fields but thats only for light tanks.
With updated mobility gaijin could start actually making map sizes appropriate for tanks. Especially mbts.
APHE nerf primarily concerns WW2 BRs that won’t see much of buff.
Then introduce other means of destroying/countering heavy tanks… like… planes :P
If only heavy tanks were not immune to planes, artillery and big explosions in the game… With something like “stun” mechanic for them, when their armor is not penetrated, but their crew is wounded by an explosion or at least stunned.
Also with new bomber HP they could counter heavy tanks easier.
But I would prefer AI infantry for ifvs and apcs…
