Work-In-Progress: CA-27

I’m not opposed to that.

@Stona_WT Do you know, are the variants going to the UK and Japan trees different or the same? It would be cool if they were different and Japan got the Mk30 with the wing slats instead for example.

Anybody know what they meant with this?

I dont know much about what they already in-game. but:

Matra T10 rockets and/or RP-3s

I expect Japan will get the Indonesian CA-27 eventually but A) it’s not confirmed yet and B) Indonesia didn’t use the Mk.30 iirc. Mk.30 would be unique to Australia, Mk.31 is more or less a Mk.32 without Sidewinders

Unfortunate, cheers : )

Indonesian one is a Mk32, no?

I honestly don’t remember, I didn’t look into it that much. I think Indonesia used Mk.31s as well as Mk.32s, or just Mk.31s. Malaysia fielded Mk.32s and there’s a suggestion post for those.

Fantastic Communication.

I pray for Malaysian Mk.32 one to come too :D

This new format is AMAZING!

The wait between updates and Dev Blog seasons is often tedious and boring, with weeks of being in the dark regarding the development of the game.

With this new format, communication and transparency are drastically improved, this is amazing in every metric and I hope to see more of this regularly from now on!

Also a slim possibility:
“In 1959, to maintain the effectiveness of the type, the armament was supplemented by air-to-air missiles. Tests had been conducted with the British Firestreak missile but the US-built AIM-9 Sidewinder infra-red homing missile was chosen as the operational missile.”

Yeah, that is another possibility. I dont mind the firestreaks actually, so would be good. But the question though is what is better for the aircraft and tree position.

No missiles, 9Bs or Firestreaks.

The Malay scheme goes hard

Oh wow, that was unexpected… but it sure is exactly what I wanted to see!
Japan should also get it through Malaysia or Indonesia (both operated it iirc)

Dunno, sorry.

Australia mentioned

Well… there are 3 variants of the CAC saber and Gaijin has set a self imposed limit of a maximum of 3 vehicles in a folder… So I see a fairly logical answer to the problem.

Malaysia and Indonesia both operated the Mk.32 if I recall correctly. As for UK/Canada, they can get whatever pleases Gaijin
