I’m sorry, but augustawestland was completely bought by Finmeccanica ( now Leonardo ) in 2004, the contract for the program was given to the company by the UK mod in 2006 and the first flight of the aw159 was in 2009. So the contract for the development and a the helicopter first flight all append under an italian company and yes, it is build in the uk, in a factory owned by an italian company. Not to mention that the aircraft is advertised on the official Leonardo site as a original design. How is it possibile that italy has no connection to the helicopter
