Now that gaijin has nerfed multipathing, it’s time to give JAS39A its missing RB99. Why? Because now playing the JAS39A is painful, you’re obligated to hug the ground.
However by giving it the amramms, the Gripen will have a better role for BVR, since you have a great amount countermeasures.
This will also result in the Gripen A being moved up to 13.3 or 13.7.

I don’t get the context behind this
Remind me again, where is the difference in A2A to the gripen C then?

I guess chaff and notching isn’t real?
gripen A at 13.7 makes getting the C pointless.
And we know gripen A won’t be 13.3 with AMRAAMs

They did shadow nerf it, but it’s not a seriously significant change

No, the JAS39C is already present for this.
Also hugging the ground? Why? You have 4 BOL pods…

I love the little drawing lol

in what world they nerfed mp ?
Missiles now proxy on the closest part of the aircraft instead of proxying on the center most point of the model, so they are now more likely to hit multipathing targets.

Well it doesnt feels like it, but thats a small step i suppose
Maybe im just unlucky
If it gets AMRAAM, it moves to 13.7.
What differences would the Gripen A have to the Gripen C?

delusional posting for people that want all vehicle to have same equipment for no reason.
Just please don’t, the only vehicle that should get randomly better equipment is probably one of british phantoms getting 9Ls
I think there is a couple solutions to this without compromising historical loadout options. One could be dynamic BRs, where loadouts and ammunition affect the BR of the vehicle. Of course the downside of this is it would be complicated to implement.
But vehicles I think should have options for their historical loadouts, these are the type of weapons they actually carried. I think other solutions to this could be to have multiple variants of the same vehicle at different BRs, like how we have Early and Late type variants of the same vehicles in game in some places. Like we could see maybe two versions of the JAS 39A, one as a folder vehicle perhaps so it’s optional? One would be the BR with it’s best weapons, and one would be the BR of less-powerful weapons, giving the player more customization on what they want to play and where they want to play it at. This applies to the JAS 39A, this could apply to JA 37 variants, really it could apply to any aircraft or tank with large disparities of their ammunition choices. Because it would be interesting in my opinion to be able to see variants of vehicles where you could choose between higher performance with lower quality/early type munitions, or later-type powerful munitions on an airframe or vehicle at a higher BR for it’s general characteristics. Like a 12.7 or 13.0 JAS 39A with less powerful weapons and a 13.3 or so JAS 39A with AMRAAMs and stuff.
I think this is at least a possible solution to having vehicles not be able to have armaments they could carry historically, at least.

If you see how balancing by majority is going and what a shitshow ground BRs are and you want to give them even less data for a new system they will inevitable not be able to keep in check.

And it literally is. There are few places where they could add an extra but you are literally on gripen thread. You have JAS39C literally just there
In my recent experience, this feels more like a buff to multipath instead of a nerf. IDK if something else changed, but a lot of top down shots that usually would kill someone or at least heavily damage them are now just getting “hit” or nothing at all.
