Wishlist for Russia (WIP)

I guess that’s possible to a degree especially if you have been around a while. I just think the game play and map making itself is miles behind the vehicle design.

That is true though
Especially if you take a look at top tier air RB

oh yeah we definitly need more ridges and actual hill maps

russian got load of MBTs already ?

The discussion is about the future additions in face of MBTs once game moves forward once more.

Cold War is where this game is at. I hate that the T-80U is so high in BR.

Most Russian tanks look nice but that thing looks really weird.

It’s as high in BR for literally being out of cold war modification we have T-80U variant for: 1992. If we had T-80U in its original state without thermals, 1100 HP engine, 3BM42, perhaps it would sit lower than T-80U Sweden currently has.
Theres also chances for T-80A, the T-80U in prototype stages, these states being several tanks with different turret designs, I have been trying to find T-80A with T-80U FCS and turret, as well as hull armour. Though T-80A had only K-1 mounted, so I think this works best for 10,7 with 3BM42 or 3BM46

It seems that a lot of what was proposed was never fitted onto vehicle, or fitted right before project being closed, but it does seem to have FCS with thermals proposed, given timezone the development was, only Agava (found on T-80B in gamw) fits. However FCS might be 3,5-7x scope, as 2,7-12.0 scope’s first mentions come from 1983 IIRC.

Yeah the T-80A foldered with the T-80U would be nice.

I’m a fan of splitting the current T-80U into a real U with the changes you mentioned and adding the UM in the place of the U now (with the thermals and 3BM46).

I think I might have found it:
You can see lack of rangefinder place that was still present for no reason on T-80B/BV, you can see the presense of updated FCS, commander has his PKN-4 which is what 1A45 provides, meaning it is new turret, new 1A45 FCS, and I think I can see the presense of 5 layer hull (judging by little small plates around drivers sights)

oh no not specifically USSR, i meant tech trees in general

Gaijin moved too fast in general for all nations. All of the new tank additions were a generation too far, skipping more balanced vehicles in favour of nerfed versions of the more famous modern tanks. Because Gaijin makes money off of hype more than anything else.

From what I see, there are still a whole lot of tanks Russians can have so nothing to worry about at all.

Yes, there are loads of side grades and prototypes the USSR can get, not to mention the potential for the other republics like Belarus or Ukraine, no shortage what so ever.

I made a thread saying exactly this. People agreed but it didn’t see much traction.
