Hopefully they will get it soon but then they would probably go up to 13.0
Unlikely as things stand.
Gaijin has repeatedly stated, they do not want to introduce MMW weapons into the game as they will be unavoidable by anything but hard cover.
I have heard that additionally MMW seekers have a relatively short range ~3km, which means that they require LOAL to function, another feature Gaijin doesn’t want to add.
I suppose they could implement the missiles to act like an ARH missile queuing to an unswitchable target off the longbow radar, but that still doesn’t help with Gaijins aversion to MMW seekers (which isn’t entirely unjustified).
…
Not exactly, LOBL does exist; it uses the aboard radar to provide imaging that it looks for once it closes the distance, similar to a Correlation seekers (e.g. KAB-500Kr), so an Area track in game parlance.
The longbow FCR uses an interleaved; Pulse & Pulse Doppler waveforms for taking a snapshot of the scene and deriving target position and relative velocity information to be fed forward into the missile as part of pre-launch processing to give it a predicted target position for optimal positioning the terminal maneuver of the missile for the highest chance of reacquiring the target with the missiles radar.
It is, and basically only exists because Soviet/Russian tree doesn’t rely on MMW to anywhere near the same extent. Also they apear to lack countermeasures entirely. But even at it’s most basic all you need to do is duplicate the existing IIR seeker mechanics and add MMW band obscuring properties to the generic smoke mix that all nations use and there would be no issue.
Also if need be it could be limited initially to only the Dual racks for carriage, which immediately cuts the number of stowed kills in half. With the quad rack provided on a case by case basis to avoid downtiers.
Now the soviets have a counter for it. Im hoping MMW will be added to all nations (and we can finally get Brimstones)
