HI everyone! I am using a VPN in order to bypass the firewall of the school I am in right now. Would that ban my account as my IP keeps switching every weekday?
Thanks in advance!

It can easily be dorm internet. Why shouldn’t some relax on their off-time?
Work is 160 hours of your month. There’s hundreds of hours to spend otherwise.
Even at 35 european credits, you have plenty of free time to game on the side.
Depends on dorms even in Hungary. Technical college I attended had its dorms shared with the high school attached to said technical college. I only stayed there for big competitions and multi-day events to avoid my long commute, but the internet there was pretty restricted.
Dunno if americans got technical college, it’s basically an alternative to BSc that focuses more on internships, direct work applicability and whatnot (while BSc is seen as stage 1 of an MSc)
Idk what you mean WT isn’t life.
Life
Laugh
War thunder
That’s my motto.
There is nothing specifically in the game rules or Gaijin terms of service about using VPN. It’s most likely allowed.
However, be sure not to use VPN for regional pricing (using IP in another country to buy products at lower cost in the Gaijin store). That could be a problem, to my knowledge.
So if I intend to buy something, I should just like turn the VPN off and use my hotspot or something?
you should be fine, tho im not sure much
If you intend to buy something, make sure the prices are in your national currency.
In my experience, War Thunder does not immediately change the currency of payment according to your IP location, but only after you have been using that location for an extended time. If you move between two IPs over time, Gaijin may give you a choice to switch to the currency of the new country or location you are appearing from; in this case, simply reject this choice, and you will be fine. As far as I know, you are fine as long as the prices in the store appear in your national currency. If they aren’t appearing in your national currency, use the hotspot instead.
If you want a more legitimate response to your question, you can also ask the questions in a private message to the Gaijin staff on the forum (see Who is who and Reporting Procedure for details, I think it is the “Game Masters” who can answer your question on this matter).
ok thanks man. I live in China so yeah all prices are in RMB. I think i’m safe since im purchasing in RMB.
I don’t think that’s likely; otherwise, at least half of the Chinese player base would probably get banned.
There were people saying that VPN is against the rules, but never a statement from GMs about whether it’s fine or not.
Though by playing from mainland CN one must use a gaming VPN (accelerator) or the lagging will be so bad that on SA servers you constantly gets pushed into the ground by the game.
Well not for VPN … Just all the other “stuff” Chinese players are notorious for (at least they should be)😉

Most people are on dynamic IPs anyway. It’s not prohibited for your IP to change.
