Will the USA be the only country to receive the new aim120d in the next major update. If so why. Since the typhoon can also carry the aim 120d and I believe the RAF does operate it but it is being fazed out by the new meteor

Typhoons dont need it, they dont struggle at all rn

there isnt much point in adding it to the eurofighters as ASRAAM, iris and meteor are certain to come soon, which would make them an obsolete addition.

Unless snail pulls balans card and buffs 120D maneuverability, everything points toward 120D being functional copypaste of 120C5 - same motor, just slightly better seeker - longer guidance time, 360 launch capability. Former is meaningless in ARB and even Sim, as even 120B with good launch can outrange US radar tracking capabilities, while the same US radars lack over the shoulder radar capability to even try to make use of 360 launch. Only kinda-exception being Superhornet, having +100 degrees elevation on its radar gimbal due to tilted array, which is of… limited utility to begin with, even more so as HMS still has artificial gimbal limits.

Typhoon doesn’t need it, and no Smin stated others may get it buts the decision isn’t final. The EFT is Top 3 of the Meta jets for air it doesn’t need 120D and if the C-5 is anything to go off the 120D will be worthless

Would it be really the Typhoon? I would expect it to be some Israeli F-15 or a struggling Hornet in the foreign trees.

My guess is that it will be crazy broken in the dev.

Then pulled back too far for balance.

Then buffed slightly to make it not suck.

There is still “hope” that the AESAphoons aren’t among those vehicles.

if Gaijin wants every nation to have a 14.7 I wouldn’t be suprised to see the Gripen E get 120Ds and move to 14.7 for example.

120D will probably only given to the struggling toptier planes like F18E and F15CGE for now as it makes no sense to give a typhoon it
