The plane already has the best flight model in the game, the best radar, and arguably the countermeasures suite for a top tier…and you want it to have the meteor already?

This plus meteor having an AD4A derivative as its main seeker (AD4A = MICA EM seeker), one could easily see how this thing could be problematic in the short term, especially when carried on strong airframes such as EF, Gripen or Rafale

Well, considering that they openly claim that M829A3 or -A4 would be no improvement over -A2, since ERA bypass mechanics aren’t being modeled.
The lack of the implementation of Electronic Support Measures, means that the -120D is not going to derive an advantage from its two-way datalink. And since due to WT’s matchmaking it doesn’t get a chronological, or airframe advantage. it’s practically just going to be an arbitrarily conferred seeker update to be on par with the MICA. With no other changes.
Also since it inherits the “clipped” control surfaces from the -120C series expect similar erroneously poor maneuverability.
Honestly, an early release of the AIM-9X (or AIM-9R / AIM-95) would have been warranted to actually bring improvements to kinematic performance of the Sidewinder airframe. And give a sorely needed edge to the Teen series airframes.

The Meteor is not “on par” with the MICA EM, R-77-1, Aim-120D or PL-12A. It exceeds the performance of all of them.

It’s not. Not only is BOL nerfed to hell it doesn’t even have the most CMs Rafale, Gripen E and F15C GE.all have better CM suites

I have heard this multiple times but how are BOL nerfed?
TLDR version.
BOL chaff is 1/4 the effectiveness of standard chaff even though it should actually be a little better.
BOL “flares” aren’t flares and should be stronger than regulars flares, maybe even nearing on-par with large calibre flares, just with a shorter burn time. They are currently about 1/2 the strength of regular flares
They were artificialy nerfed based upon misinformation more than 2 years ago and reports by a Senior tech mod to fix it have been ignored.

The Eurofighter AESA is one of the most comfortable planes to fly right now at top tier. Especially in ASB.
Even just in ARB, it has the best flight model in the game, only closely followed by the Rafales. The Su-30SM2 is fast, but it does not have the high speed energy retention present on the Eurocanards.
The Eurofighter AESA also has an amazing radar with crazy gimbal limits. The only plane that comes close is the Su-30SM2, but that plane’s search zone presets are worse. It trades an extra 20° of gimbal for worse awareness. Personally, I prefer the Eurofighter’s radar much more (and I’ve only played the German one, which has worse gimbal limits).
And then the Eurofighter AESA also has spherical RWR and MAWS coverage. Again improving situational awareness. And again this is only matched by the Rafales. The Su-30SM2 has terrible RWR coverage and zero MAWS to speak of.
And then for ASB, the Eurofighter AESA has the absolute, bar none, best HMD in the game. It has IFF DL and shows radar contacts, both of which AGAIN increase situational awareness.
ALL of these coalesce into a true contender for the best plane in the game. The Rafale is only a contender because MICAs make it braindead easy to play, and the Su-30SM2 has a gimmick with its radar (which albeit is effective).
The point is, the Eurofighter AESA absolutely does not need the AIM-120D at the moment. And weaker airframes like the F-15C GE, F/A-18E/F, and potentially either the F-15EX or F-16C PoBIT getting AIM-120Ds is not going to somehow upset the sheer power the Eurofighter AESA holds. They don’t have the flight performance nor the onboard system capabilities to compete, so they get compensated with slightly better missiles that will only help in a few cases.
