It is performing INSANELY good right now, better stats than even the BMPT-72. That’s been moved up all the way from 10.3 to 11.3 because of it over performing, so why is the T58 still 8.3?
People don’t really care that much as long as OP vehicles aren’t a part of a certain nation.

I don’t have an issue with the T58, it’s a 1 shot kill, the bmpt however is a completely different story, I can play hull down all match and never die…

Skill issue, the T58 also faces stabilized dart firing tanks, get better at the game. Do you have the bmpt? Because I do and I can tell you it’s not difficult to kill tanks. Even in 12.3 games it performs well.
I don’t even have T58 and I’m not crying about it 😂
Money maker and it’s not Russian. People take the time to learn to get around it and don’t complain because anything other than the Russian bias machines is just a good vehicle in the eyes of the community. The irony is quite palpable if you ask me.

So it’s skill issue because T58 is wildly overperforming at it’s own BR.

The T58 suffers from not being detailed enough. Normally, if you shoot at the hinches of the lower turret, the upper turret becomes jammed. If a burb of like a ahell penetrating it disturbes the perfect hole and cylinder, it can no longer rotate. Gaijin, knowingly or not, forgot to add this detail to the T58. Ingame, these spots are just overlaying armor. In reality, shooting the left and right of the turret should damage the turret elevation.
So yes, its fire rate makes it strong. And the turret already has good armor. But because of neglect from gaijin, its far too difficult to disable it. It sits fine at its current br, but if gaijin would add the elevation module to these hinches, you can very easily disable its ability to return fire.
And im confident gaijin knows about this and willfully doesnt do it. Its a premium tank after all. Gaijin needs to earn money. Why the entire scheme for the bmpt worked so well. Introduce the tank at a low br to make it appealing. Gaijin is a company. A company is set up to earn money. Now they earned their money plenty.
